Relaxing! Home away from home.
Posted Sep. 25, 2024 on HomeAwayJust book! Owners are incredible host who care about your comfort and experience. Property is clean, in a great location and is well stocked with everything you need. We visited Portland for my Sisters wedding, Michelle and Klaas’s house was perfect for the gathering. We had a fantastic stay!

Great location with space for all of us.

I was also a little worried that it was on a busy street, but I had the most restful sleep there of our entire vacation. Great neighborhood with good restaurants and interesting shops. I would stay there again. Parking on the street was subject to availability, but we were lucky.

I love when people arrive with less expectations and we can exceed them! Thrilled you found High Gear spacious. When we remodeled the house our goal was to create a large great room (living, dining and kitchen) where all our guests could hang out and enjoy. We also did a lot of work to soundproof- with insulation and new windows. It is surprisingly quiet inside the house and Alberta Street, in our area, is closed down by 10pm. We have no bars around us only restaurants and stores so it's sleepy. Really happy you enjoyed it all!

Family reunion
Posted Aug. 15, 2024 on HomeAwayAccommodated all of our needs during our stay indoors and out. BBQ and ping pong were a bonus. Big open space and plenty of dishes, glasses and cutlery to accommodate our extended family for dinner.

You can’t pick a better property in Portland
Posted Jul. 14, 2024 on HomeAwayIt’s in the Alberta Arts district. You cannot pick a better location or property. We loved every thing about it. We were a group of 7. Mix of kids, teenagers and adults.
Lots of amazing restaurants around- and good options for skip or Uber eats for late night delivery.

Thanksgiving trip to see our family

It was a wonderful location, cool artsy vibe, and plenty of room for everyone. The owners have done a wonderful job remodeling this classic Gem. We will be back. Thank you!

Cute location in heart of Alberta arts district

4 stars because I wish there was some coffee available in the morning.

Thanks for the great review. I’m glad you enjoyed the house and loved the neighborhood. I also love bamboo sushi which is right next-door. I hope you enjoyed the popcorn and drinks that we left for you. Typically when people stay more than one night, we do leave coffee- Sorry you didn’t have any coffee. Hopefully you got some across street at case study.
