Problems are understandable, completely avoiding them is not
Publié le 29 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe apartment is great: clean, comfortable. EXCEPT the air conditioner is busted. I understand things happen, but this was a heatwave, and the ac was certainly a big part of why I chose this place. I reported it on Sunday morning and never received communication. (I hope the poor owner unit knows how little the management company seems to care.) Unfortunately it Is now Saturday and not only is it still not fixed, Vacasa never once contacted me with information or a follow up. I called them. They did lie several times about when I would receive further information, such as “tomorrow by this time” or “before 3pm today.” I was also told several times that I would get contacted about a ‘loss of amenity’ compensation “tomorrow.” And then, when I called to say I hadn’t heard anything, I was told some excuse about the building management company and insurance company repair claim. That should have NOTHING to do with the substantial payment I made to you, Vacasa. You need to make it right, not blame someone else.
Furthermore, Vacasa was unhelpful with a bizarre occurrence—the building’s fob system is on the fritz. When I contacted Vacasa to let them know I was locked out of the building at 11pm, they told me I should try a key. There is no key. Try a phone number…no answer. Another tenant walking by had to let me in! And neither of us could use the fob-activated elevators.
Absolutely not, not, not okay. If you aren’t on-site you need MUCH better communication.
Just terrible.

Fabulous location
Publié le 22 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayMy son and his wife live in this neighborhood. So many wonderful places to eat. Great grocery store right across the street. The condo is as it looks. Nicely supplied, but as someone else said, only one wine glass? The washing machine does not work.
We were there for 3 nights. Slept well. Very quiet. Easy to check in and out. Would stay here again.

Thank you for sharing your experience, we're pleased you loved our home's location and would stay here again-- we'd love to have you! That said, we apologize for the proper number of wine glasses not being stocked and our local manager assured us they will add additional glasses to the kitchen supplies. To clarify, the washing machine is working but it has sensors that can be finicky when the door is closed to start the cycle. Better instructions on what to do if the cycle doesn't start will be added and we appreciate your feedback on this. We enjoyed having you as our guest and we look forward to hosting you again soon.

Would not recommend
Publié le 3 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayI booked my stay to visit my sister having surgery. After booking, I need to change the dates. It took multiple emails and chats just to get a response. This is a big company who owns this with overseas support I think.
Once I arrived, it was not a great neighborhood like they presented online. I reached out to let them know I did not feel safe staying there and basically received a "too bad" response. I never used the property, forfeited by entire payment and booked a hotel room instead.

Great spot, cozy condo
Publié le 13 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe loved the cozy apartment! Very clean nice, and comfortable! The area is wonderful and everything is walkable. Lots of great restaurants, coffee shops, distilleries around. Forest Park, Washington Park and the Japanese Gardens are all within a 1-2 mile walk. If you plan on staying in the area, there is no need for a car. If you can't walk to it, you can take the great public transit system.
The only critique is that the vacasa box with the key does not open. There were a couple of us trying to check-in and open the box and could not do it. Luckily, the rental office for the building was open and they knew the trick and said no one is able to open it. Make sure you check-in before that office closes at 6pm.

Portland Getaway!

We toured the area on the weekend and enjoyed the neighborhood and apartment amenities (huge outdoor space with fireplace, comfy furniture, lots of games and gas grills and a nice coffee shop that happened to have vintage clothes pop up sale on the weekend) during the week while my daughter did her DPT clinicals at the nearby hospital. I would definitely stay there again if I were ever back in Portland.

Publié le 31 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayThis little apartment is in a great location! Right across the street from a grocery store and a distillery. Tons of bars and restaurants all within walking distance. Best part is it’s right next to Forest Park great place to go hiking. Definitely recommend!
