Very/too basic

Had to find a hotel close the PDX for one night. fit the bill, but a bit too basic even for us (we are used to travel Low budget). Badly needs update (and get try if of smell).

Hotel is old, hallways were sometimes smelly, room cards were constantly in need of being reset. I assume the card thing is because they're bathed in a chicken soup-looking bowl of liquid upon checkout. Im sure it is sanitary, but the optics are disconcerting. That said, it was cheap, rooms were clean, staff was nice, and parking was secure. Would stay again without concern.
