It's a neat building and the lobby is great. The room service was terrific and front desk staff are nice people. Desk was understaffed at check-in; TV selections are limited (and no netflix option that I could find); VERY noisy from street all night (saxophone??), suffocatingly stuffy - I think the thermostat is there for decoration; someone else's food in the fridge when I got there. And neighborhood is terrifying. Would not return.

I recently stayed at the Benson Curio Hilton hotel and had mixed experiences. Upon check-in, the female front desk staff was not very welcoming, which set a somewhat uncomfortable tone. In the room, I encountered several issues: the hair dryer was broken, there was debris on the sheets, and the comforter had a noticeable stain. While the mattress was comfortable, the pillows were oddly sized and not very supportive. The room felt stuffy and humid, prompting me to request a fan. Additionally, the shower design led to water leaking onto the floor, which was inconvenient. On a positive note, the hotel is in a great location. However, given the issues I experienced, I wouldn't recommend paying more than $150 a night. It's advisable to check the sheets before getting into bed.

I always enjoy The Benson Hotel. She's a grand dame of a building and the staff is professional. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
