Perfect place in Portree
Publié le 16 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayComfortable lounge, well equipped facility, and perfect location! Five minute walk to downtown square & harbor. Plus was a washer & dryer as we were on a two week holiday.
Finding the place was a little tricky. For future guests, it’s located across from the Portree High School. Would definitely stay here again!!

Beautifully Clean Home; Fantastic Location; Excellent Host!
Publié le 24 août 2024 sur HomeAwayMy wife and I stayed at the home for three nights and it was truly memorable. The furnishings were excellent, including the bedding, bathroom supplies, kitchen appliances, and plates/utensils. It was clean, warm, and welcoming.
The location can’t be beat. The home is an easy half mile walk from the Portree city center, including shops, bars, and restaurants. Also, the location in Portree is excellent for seeing the many Isle of Skye highlights
The communication with Ben and Cat was spot-on perfect. Cat stopped by shortly after we arrived and provided a description of the home and its amenities, as well as the general area. It was raining sideways the day we arrived and Cat proactively booked a taxi for us for dinner. Nice!
Best of all, I messaged Ben and Cat a few days before we arrived regarding their suggestions for a driver/guide for a day tour around Isle of Skye. Cat responded that a nephew of hers (Ollie) could be available. We laid out our desired stops, including runs and hikes. Cat added a few local stops to the agenda.
On the day we did this trip, Ollie showed up exactly on time and we had a perfect day with him. We saw everything we wanted and Ollie added some local knowledge and flair. It was perfect and the highlight of our time in Portree. Thank you Cat and Ollie!
We highly recommend this home and the management team. It is a perfect home base for seeing all that Skye has to offer!

Perfect Location

There was plenty of room for us to spread out and relax, and we also enjoyed the giant kitchen table for socializing. The kitchen had everything we needed. They do need to update their info on how to use appliances and heat. There seem to have been renovations since the original videos were made so it took us a while to figure some things out. It really is a short walk into town, so we really loved the location. The sun even came out just long enough for us to enjoy a brief happy hour at the picnic table!

Great House in a beautiful location
