Home away from home
Posted Jun. 22, 2024 on HomeAwayWe stayed here for a week with our two children, 8 and 11 years old and it really felt cozy and comfortable. The terrace was very inviting and you could easily spend a whole day just listening to the waves and watching the ships go by in the distance. The local fisherman were also interesting to watch. The town center is just beautiful with restaurants and bakeries right at the water and a 5 minute walk from the house. We loved the local beaches and it was a lot of fun to explore the town on foot. The surrounding towns were just a short drive away and also so much fun! Kids loved Muzej Ulja/Olive Oil museum tour and food tasting! Zlatni Rat beach was just a short drive away and right next to a cute town of Bol. This area was more busy and touristy so we were happy to be able to go back to our beautiful fisherman house in the evening to enjoy the sunset from the terrace! It was so magical! Our host Nicol was amazing and informative. She was very friendly and kind! She mades us feel welcome and we felt like we had a great friend in town! Kids loved it so much that they want to move to Croatia now! 😄

The best of Brac
Posted Sep. 11, 2023 on HomeAwayIllyria cottage was the very best. It was clean and comfortable and the view was spectacular. We swam everyday in front of the house. We cooked dinner at home twice and enjoyed the restaurants in town on the other nights. Parking was ample as soon as we knew where to park. We enjoyed the beach bar. “Incognito”. Absolutely a memory of a lifetime!

A real gem directly at the seashore

The setting of the previous fisherman's house is absolutely ideal, everything in Postira (supermarket, restaurants) is only a few hundred meters away. It is phantastic to sit at the seashore in the morning on the terrace with a coffee to watch the sunrise. For runners or just for swimming, there is a great trail 5 km to the south along three or four bays, some of them really remote and lovely.
We found this little house really wonderful - with a lot of attention to detail in all rooms. The house is just beautiful and one could really spend the whole day just sitting on the terrace. In front of the house are also a few good spots for snorkeling. Everything one needs even for a longer stay (dish washer, washing machine, coffee machine etc) is provided and we missed absolutely nothing. We loved our stay and we could not have thought about any better place to stay on Brac Island.

Perfect!
Posted Jun. 15, 2023 on HomeAwayThere are not enough words to describe this gorgeous setting and the time our family had there together. The memories of sitting on the lovely patio watching my son-in- laws gosh and snorkel are a treasure. Would definitely go back!

Perfect getaway
Posted May 21, 2023 on HomeAwayIllyria is a gem! It was the perfect place for our family to get away for a week and completely unwind. Nikol was a wealth of information and we thoroughly enjoyed the simplicity of Postira. Wonderful people, food and an amazing location. Sitting on the deck each morning and having coffee as the waves came in was heaven. The kitchen had all we needed to cook, and everything in the house was clean and comfortable. We will be back!

A Dream Cottage

Wonderful stay

Simply Wonderful

Great house best location
Posted Jul. 17, 2021 on HomeAwayFantastic house with the ocean on your doorstep. We enjoyed our week here with our 3 teenage kids. Nice little town with everything in walking distance from the house. Very clean and everything lived up to our expectations. Will recommend to anyone that loves the ocean.

Spectacular seaside oasi
Posted Jun. 27, 2021 on HomeAwayIllyria house is a hidden gem in the lovely hamlet of Postira. Property manager Nikol was easy to reach, informative and friendly and left snacks and olive oil and wine as a welcome. The property does not disappoint, 3 comfortable bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a lovely kitchen/living room. However the star of the show is the spacious patio right at the water. We spent the majority of our time there and did not want to leave. Short 5 minute walk away there are restaurants, bars and cafe’s including market and grocery store. Kitchen is fully stocked and you can also grill on the patio. If you can tear yourself away from the sea view go to the museum of Olive Oil (Museum Uja in Skrip) 15 minute drive. The only negative about this property is that you eventually have to leave. In all of our VRBO experiences we agreed this was our very favorite place.
