Fantastic location and position next to the river. Defiantly not worth R990.00 a night.

Thanks for the review, we are a two star affordable accommodation resort, the 4 sleeper rondawel is one of the lowest priced amongst other resorts in the area. We have however started upgrading these units.

Worth the trip

A break away from the city was in need and this place was exactly what we needed. Beautiful surroundings, farm and game animals, friendly staff and the owners are the most hospitable people. Would definitely recommend Smillin Thru

The area and scenery was lovely, however the linen was not checked and there happened to be rat poop on it.

Hi Corrine, Thanks for the comments, however not rat poop, possibly spider or bat poop - because of the thatched roof. We clean these units thoroughly before guest arrives but always have dust or small insects crawling around. I will increase the cleaning inspections to 10-20 minutes before guest arrives. Apologies for this.

I really like the set up. What I did not like was the matress. We could not have a good night rest on it. It was realky warn out

Maintenance needed

The experience was ok but the least they could have done was just to clean the rooms

Hi Happiness, we work on a self catering basis, so the chalet is cleaned by our staff before the guest arrives and after the guest has left. The daily cleaning is left up to the guest in the self catering unit. I apologize if this was not made clear.

Smilin tru a typical almost camp environment, the units do need attention, for our purpose it was fine thank you, Breakfast was good Kids were doing teambuilding and this was good to see, for camps would recommend,
