Nicely located

An easy stopover if you want to see Prambanan Temples. Walk in 30 minutes through rice fields, or they will take you on a scooter. Nasi Goreng in the restaurant was one of the best I have ever had, and the Bintang was ice cold. There was even a swimming pool for after the walk back.

Charming and a bit quaint--we felt like we were staying in an old-style resort bungalow from a previous era! Though it could use a little modernization, everything was clean, the room was spacious, and the location was conveniently close for visiting the temples at Prambanan. Staff was friendly, and the food in the breakfast room was very good.

I guess that this resort was built in the 1970's and I don't think it has any had much maintenance done to it since. The plumbing fixtures don't quite work, the curtains , tablecloths etc. have holes in them, the pool has no filtration, the paved walkways are a challenge to navigate because of the broken pavers, the paint is peeling off the buildings. The staff are super friendly and nice the the property itself is generally in disrepair

Great Location!

Posted Aug. 5, 2018 on Hotels
Location! Location! Location!. Our travel itinerary was to go from Jogia to Parmbanan followed by a full schedule in Solo the next day. By staying here instead of going back to Jogia, we saved 1-hour drive back to Jogia in the late evening after a visit to Prambanan temple complex, a sunset dinner and attending the 2-hour Ramayana ballet with the Prambanan temples in the background. We also saved one-hour drive the following day by going from Prambanan to Solo instead of from Jogia to Solo.. Every staff in the hotel we dealt with was very friendly.and helpful. We woke up with lovely bird songs in the gardens in the morning. It would be great if the indoor/outdoor bath room could be updated.

Good basic stay close to Prambanan

A comfortable, basic place to stay as close to Prambanan as you can get. Great service as well. Would recommend a stay here for exploring the temples.

Nice hotel at a stone's throw from Prambanan

Posted Aug. 1, 2016 on Expedia
Pros: Location was close to Prambanan and the Ramayana ballet, atmospheric cottages, nice restaurant, clean amenities, courteous staff
Cons: They need to place additional wifi routers to make sure that signal is available in the cottages. They need to charge less for the cars they provide
Location: visit Prambanan and other temples and the Ramayana ballet which are all held close to the hotel
The hotel was fabulous, the cottages were nicely done, clean and comfortable, the staff were attentive to guests and courteous. There were two shortcomings. The hotel overcharges for the cars it arranges, and there is no Wifi in most cottages and weak signal in the rest (very few). I had requested for a cottage with Wifi signal in it. They had promised to give me one. They gave me the second closest one to the lobby which is where the Wifi router is located I believe. Still the signal was very weak and didn't work for most of the time. Wifi works mostly in the lobby. The travel agency associated with the hotel quoted a price that 75% more than the best rate I got for the same trip, by sampling agencies online. I took their car for a shorter trip, the heritage tour for seeing temples nearby Prambanan, 40 $ for 8 hour tour. I didn't have time to sample prices online for that, not sure what it would have been. The temples were all within a few KM of Prambanan, the farthest was 15 Km, the second farthest 10 Km. The driver they gave was however good.

Ideal location for Prambanan and Ramayana

Posted May 9, 2016 on Hotels
We chose this hotel largely for its closeness to the Prambanan temple complex and the Ramayana Ballet. The hotel booked our Ballet seats for us in advance, which was big help, and responded promptly to our emails about this. It also provided a complimentary drop off and pick up service for the evening Ballet show which was nice even though it is only a few hundred meters away. There was also complimentary transport which we booked for 6am, to avoid the crowds, to the entrance to Prambanan Temple complex which is a bit further away. And for a reasonable fee they provided a very nice car to take us to Borobudur. So logistically it all worked out very well. The hotel was also fine for us with OK meals and friendly staff. The room in a detached small bungalow was large and comfortable and the a/c worked well. But there was no a/c for the toilet area and the shower and bath were outside bath and shower, which we did not mind but it might not be OK for some people. We loved the location close to farmland and near a village. And, at the end of our visit to the temples we found an exit close to the village and so were able to take a short walk back to hotel for breakfast rather than having to go back to the main entrance and then either having a long walk, or a taxi ride, back to the hotel.
