This 2 bedroom Cottage is completely remodeled and sits on 1.25 acres among Towering Elms & Cottonwoods, a Meadow & Seasonal Creek.
It's near shopping yet also convenient (1.6 miles) to the bustling Downtown activities and a great jump-off point for Sedona, Flagstaff, Jerome or the Grand Canyon!
You have the privacy and safety of parking in your own driveway off our Private Lane off the street.

The Serta Master Bed is Queen-size, firm and lofty with allergen-free pillows, pillow covers and Cotton Bedding. There is a Full-size bed in the 2nd bedroom.
Leather Sofas in the Living Room & Two Rocker-Recliners add comfort for TV watching or reading. There is high-speed internet and WiFi.
Gorgeous Countertops are in the Kitchen with new lighting, flooring and new Pine Cabinets filled with bakeware and serving ware.
We provide many amenities but do not resupply when you run out.
We have air conditioning for the times when the cool mountain air isn't enough!
Outside is a lovely patio with a Weber grill.

Birds and Wildlife visit the Casita and the property regularly since we have migrations both north and south. You may see Hummingbirds, Goldfinches, Spotted Towhees, White-breasted Nuthatches, Juniper Bushtit, Ravens, Flickers, Western Tanagers, and lately a Kestrel, when the ravens don't chase it away! We had a Great Horned Owl in the Meadow for nearly 2 months one summer! We've just added an owl box and a bat box to the property! Javelina come through about every other night. They have migrated up from South America and are in the peccary family. We (or our Guests) have also seen Coyotes, deer, raccoons, skunks, lizards and alien-looking bugs!

We are licensed, inspected and compliant with the City. We have fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors and a first aid kit.
Prescott has a Noise Ordinance from 10pm to 8am. We do not allow parties or events.
Pets are occasionally allowed with permission, a signed Pet Agreement and a Pet Fee.

Please be respectful of neighbors & wildlife so we can continue to grow our business. And remember you are next to the forests! There are critters around & some can be dangerous, like black widows spiders, mountain lions & javelina. In case you didn't know, Javelina look like hairy pigs but are actually in the peccary family & roam in herds. They have 1.5" tusks, poor eyesight but keen noses. They're pretty casual & timid, rooting in the dirt for grubs, but if they're startled, aggravated or protecting their youngsters they can attack. Watch from a distance and make noise so they know you're there. Do not scare or charge them or leave food, pets or children unattended.

I/We (the Guest) agree to these terms:

• Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed.
• Additional fees & taxes may apply.
• 100% Refund if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date.
• Any damage incurred on the property will come out of the damage deposit.
Pets are only allowed with Owner’s permission, signed Pet Agreement and payment of Pet Fee. Evidence of pets will incur additional cleaning and/or damage fees from damage deposit. Guest assumes all responsibility for pet.
• Owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs on the premises. By accepting the reservation all guests (or anyone they invite) are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises.
• Check-in is 4:00 PM. Check-out is 11:00 AM. Owners may be able to accommodate other times depending on bookings.
• Guest must notify Owners immediately upon check-in if anything is wrong or damaged.
• Property is furnished & includes: Television (in cottage), refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster oven, furniture, artwork, bed linens, towels, pots, pans, dishes, glasses & flatware.
• Guest agrees to keep the property & all furnishings in good order.
• People other than those in the Guest party may not stay overnight. Any person visiting on the property is the responsibility of the Guest.
• Guest agrees to no parties or events.
• Guest agrees to City Ordinance: Noise must be kept to a minimum from 10 PM to 8:00 AM.
• Guest must be at least 25 years old to book.
• Parking: Only 1-2 vehicles permitted. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only.
• No smoking is allowed inside or outside due to wildfires, allergies & second-hand smoke. Evidence of smoking will incur additional cleaning fees.
• The Cottage, Casita, Cabin are equipped with fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and a first aid kit.
• There is no daily housekeeping. We try to leave a backup supply of TP, paper towels, etc.,but we do not resupply when you run out.
• Linens & Bath towels are included. Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. No items shall be taken from the units. A blanket by the front door may be used outside.
• Guest may not flush anything other than toilet paper & waste down the toilet. If any feminine hygiene products, excessive toilet paper or anything else has been flushed and clog the system Guest may be charged for damages for repairs.
• Use appliances for their intended use.
• Pets are only permitted with prior approval. A Pet Addendum must be signed. A pet fee must be paid. Pet is not allowed on furniture. Pet waste must be put in trash. Additional cleaning fees may be imposed. Guest shall be solely responsible for pet while on property.
• Guest will not frighten, harass or engage the wildlife. Observe from a distance.
• Guest will empty garbage into large garbage & recycling bins (blue) .

The house was everything we'd expected, and everything we needed was provided and more! The description was accurate. The only issue we experienced was the size of the bed, as we are accustomed to a king size. The bed was comfortable but it was a queen sized bed.

Cozy, cute and quiet gem.
We really enjoyed our stay with our 2 small dogs. The hosts were on top of everything! They really cater to their guests, more like family actually. The accommodations were clean, quiet and cozy and they supplied everything, and then some, to make us feel at home. They even left turkey squeeze stuffies for our fur babies! Would definitely stay here again and would recommend this property to anyone going to visit the area. We also really enjoyed learning about the tragic but heroic story about the Granite Mountain Hotshots.

My friend & I loved staying here. We each had a bedroom. Beds are very comfortable. The kitchen & bathroom were so well stocked-we didn’t want for anything. I had my dog with me & there is lots of room to walk him & to explore. The a/c units kept the house cool, actually had to turn off one in the night. The owners are very nice & it was a pleasure meeting them.

Even before I arrived the hosts were in contact and very helpful!!! The accommodation's and extras were above and beyond including a dog toy & chocolate by the bed plus many more!!! They thought of Everything in the kitchen and bathroom too!!! We were able to explore the lakes in Prescott and I only wish I was able to stay longer but they are a very popular location!!! I can't wait to go back!!! As incredible as the inside of the cabin's are the outside and walking, sitting area are magical also!!! I wish I could give them 10(*) stars!!! Amazing Hideaway!
What an amazing place. The owners are so kind. The house had everything we needed. There was such nice little things. If you forgot a toothbrush they had new ones in the bathroom. The kitchen had everything even a crockpot! We enjoyed BBQing. The grounds are great. They have horse shoes which was fun to play. It is very relaxing. The location was great for what we wanted. We will be booking this place every year!

This is the nicest VRBO we have stayed in! It is well supplied with everything one could possibly need. Any questions were promptly answered. There is a nice variety of books and brochures about the surrounding area. Even though the casita is on a relatively busy street it is very quiet inside. We would stay here again and will recommend it to others. The yard is private and comfortable, too.

HIDEAWAY CASITA
PROS: Owner did well on the re-model. Well stocked kitchen, games, puzzles, etc. Karen did a nice job on the binder compiling info on restaurants, hikes etc. Dave was responsive to a TV issue. The location is convenient to downtown. Bed was comfortable for one of us, not the other. CONS: Property is located next to a busy, noisy street; Unable to use the patio due to sap and cottonwood fuzz on the furniture; sap on car daily; the owner manages other properties on Hideaway Ln. so consequently were on the property daily. We prefer more privacy and anonymity. The owners met us at the property to “explain things.” We’ve stayed at many VRBO properties and the owners have never met us unless there was an issue. Overall, it just wasn’t up to our standards as an exceptional property. We will not be staying there again.

Very well equipped and comfortable!! Indoors is very quiet and pleasant. Is located on a busy street so the patio area had a lot of traffic noise, however they do have a lovely sitting and hammock area further away from the street which was very pleasant.

We were impressed with the attention to detail by the hosts. From exact directions, to leaving the lights on for a very late arrival, to chocolates, fresh flowers & champagne awaiting us, to complete "Welcome" notebook we felt taken care of! The cottage is exactly as described. It is very clean, has a very complete kitchen & great beds. The washer & dryer in the cottage was a bonus. We truly enjoyed the private, covered patio, nature area, ease of access to freeways, closeness to grocery store & downtown. It was a perfect for jumping off spot to many hikes close by & for a day trip to Sedona. We would definitely stay there again!

Cute House close to just about everything!
Great little house just right for two women taking a break from everything. Both bedrooms are small but plenty of storage and closet space. Beds were comfortable and linens were clean and fresh in bedrooms and bath. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking, etc. We ate out a lot and always had leftovers so we didn’t use the stove/oven. Maybe next time! The property is along a small creek and we were looking forward to seeing the javelina, just weren’t there enough to see them…drat! Hosts are friendly and easy to get in touch with.
