Beautiful Big Bend Stay
Publié le 24 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayAbsolutely loved staying in this beautiful house! The views were gorgeous - loved watching sunrise and sunset over the Rio Grande. The beds were the BEST I have ever slept on! The home is well stocked - kitchen had everything we could want, including the Nespresso coffee maker. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The stars at night are big and bright

With an unbelievable view and quick access to a few trails. The ride from the hacienda to Big Bend is one of the most stunning drives I’ve been on. Thanks for the hospitality

stunning desert palace on a hill
Publié le 7 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWe love Big Bend country but the house was the real star of this trip. An adobe masterpiece that's as marvelous on the outside as it is inside. The home sits on a bluff overlooking the Rio Grande and the wild, beautiful terrain of the Sierra Del Carmen. Lots of wildlife to view in the morning and evening coming to drink from the river. We can't wait to return!

Amazing stay in Big Bend!
Publié le 14 mars 2024 sur HomeAwaySuch a lovely house with thoughtful hosts who anticipated every need! No way to describe the views, sunrises and sunsets from the patio. Loved sitting around the fire pit in the evening and visiting with friends. Great location with access to surrounding towns and the parks.

Big Bend with Friends
Publié le 19 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe booked Rio Bravo to bring our friends that have never experienced far west Texas before. The scenery in this remote location is breathtaking from sunrise to sunset to stargazing at night it was everything we hoped for.
The adobe house set in the desert landscape is beautiful upon first glimpse as you navigate up the private caliche drive off River Road slightly up hill and finally making a hard left turn to approach the front door. There is a courtyard entry through iron gates to the front door. Love the Saltillo tiled floors leading to the wonderful living room/dining area/kitchen to the left of the house. The windows capture the most beautiful scenery throughout the house. The enormous covered patio with arched openings is accessed through the French doors in the dining area. You will find the large fire pit just beyond the patio where we were drawn to each evening.
The two bedrooms are really one large master suite, fully appointed with adjoining master bath and one very small guest bedroom. The second bathroom also has the stacked washer/dryer in there making it feel more like a utility room. Since we were hosting, we gave the master suite to our friends. Just noting this because there is a big difference in comfort and experience in the sleeping arrangements if you are staying here as two couples.
The kitchen is large and very well stocked with all you need for your stay.
Communication was excellent throughout and overall, we had an unforgettable stay!
