A éviter si c'est pour profiter de la piscine.

Choisi pour la piscine et le jacuzzi, en fait c'était juste des jets dans un côté de la piscine donc même température à savoir très froide ! Sauna tout juste chaud. La vue sur la mer de la chambre à partir d'une petite fenêtre entre deux murs et non d'un " bow window" plus panoramique était le minimum...au moins le petit déjeuner , avec prise de commande donc varié, était très bon.

avg hotel. boring location

Ok stay overall. Average property - on par with what i would expect from a 3 star hotel. Certainly not worth 160£ a night though. Good if you can get a beach facing room. Checkin and checkout process was quick. Pool while was refurbished was quite dirty. I could see sand on the pool floor bottom. Guests came in and went out as they pleased with their shoes on. Hotel location to explore wales is again average. Need to assume an hours travel to reach anywhere decent.

The Beaches Hotel Prestayn

It really was A game if 2 halves . My initial experience was fantastic from the lovely room to the fab pool and the food in the restaurant and not least the lovely location. I was a little apprehensive because of some of the negative views but I stay in hotels all the time with work and I’ve no idea what the moaners are on abt …HOWEVER … 2 staff incidents really dropped my high opinion of the hotel hugely. Day before we left me , my son and one other family were playing with inflatables in the pool . There were NO signs to say inflatables couldn’t used . All of a sudden a member of staff (older, glasses, blond woman) marched into the pool area and barked at the top of her voice “no inflatables are allowed in the pool , you’ll have to remove them all now as another family are coming in to use the pool”!! That other family consisted of a mum and her daughter so that was a total of 3 families in the pool. I felt so sorry for the kids who were crestfallen , doing no harm to anyone and it really left a bitter taste in my mouth. As did the gastapo type ‘investigation’ regarding whether a ‘special’I was querying on my bill actually was on on the menu the night before . The receptionist rang god knows how many people as to whether it was £12 or £9 !! A difference of £3! I train customer service skills in retail for a living and there’s a cut off point you keep a customer waiting and a ‘well how much are we querying here ‘? It was even passed to a manager, felt like a criminal :(
