I do not know about the property but about Expedia. The property has changed owner and my Expedia reservation was useless; no room available. The link "send a message to the property" links to an email of a store located in the same building, with no relation to the hostel. Pity the hostel has not a reservation page, for Expedia was useless to me.

Manor Hostel does not exist: alert
Publié le 23 juill. 2018 sur HotelsI arrived at the supposed location of Manor Hostel B & B on Quebec Street in Prince George shortly after 11 pm, along with another traveler who was also on board VIA rail train #6. Manor Hostel no longer exists -- though I had stayed there exactly one year ago. They are under new ownership and with a new name. The gentlemen who let us in had no record of our two separate reservations. They were full -- no beds remaining. The new owner kindly tried to accommodate us since it was pouring rain outdoors. I ended up on a hide-a-bed in the living room --- with only a thin pad separating me from the springs. I could not sleep at all, and ended up folding up the hide-a-bed and attempting to curl up on the couch. While the new owner had kindly let us in off the streets, I slept not at all. I departed as soon as daylight arrived. Please UN-LIST this location until you do a further investigation. I suspect that many reservations for future dates may ALSO have not been carried over to the new owner.

More like a shelter for homeless than a hostel

This place is infested with bed bugs! I have never gotten so many with so terrible bites, to the point that my face swelled like I got into a fight. I probably would have sued them for the physical injuries I received, had I stayed in town longer, but I am constantly travelling and I don't have the time to do that.
When I complained about the bed bugs seen on the nasty, unwashed blanket, first the male receptionist tried to make me look like a liar and he said "bed bugs only come out at night", and after he smelled the blanket, he decided to wash it himself. Then, after being unable to sleep at night because of the bites, he asked me, the next morning, in an evidently discriminatory and rude way "if I wasn't sure I didn't bring them in"... I'm sure he wouldn't ever said that to white people that are not dark like me.
He decided to refund me for the second night that I was going to stay, but made me put my luggage inside a plastic bag "to avoid spreading the bugs around"
Filthy, stinking kitchen, bathroom, and halls. Please show self respect and stay away.

Publié le 10 oct. 2017 sur HotelsArrived here very late from train journey . The manager Shane waited for me to arrive ( well after midnight ). Great service . Spotless rooms , bathroom , kitchen & lounge . Overall totally impressed with Manor Hostel . 10 /10 . Reccomended highly .

CHEAP stay = EXPENSIVE inconvenience

1) On check-in: stayed outside a locked door for 15 mins because nobody was answering the doorbell, nor was the phone number listed outside being answered
2) Signs posted everywhere that quiet time was 11pm: drunken yelling by 10pm heard, and somebody was still using the laundry
3) Checking out early: new manager and did not know how to issue a refund; owner never showed up to help. Called me to say I had to contact Expedia to handle the refund as "Expedia takes the money first to take their cut before we even see anything." 2 DAYS SPENT CALLING THE HOTEL = NO ONE ANSWERS AND NO REFUND ISSUED
4) EXPEDIA WILL NOT HELP: if you have paid fees at the hotel, saying it's out of their hands. Expedia also has a call-back feature... they call you back with an Arizona registered number, making it a long-distance and expensive phone call, where they tell you they will inquire about your concern and get back to you within 24 hours. NO CALL BACK
5) SKETCHY NEIGHBOURHOOD.
Just felt off right from the getgo. Just don't waste your money.

Felt very safe and comfortable here! Everything was very clean and the staff was super nice and helpful. Only stayed one night but I would stay again!
