Caution When Booking!!
Publié le 16 août 2024 sur HotelsI was notified hours before checking in (while on my flight to the location) that they would not be able to accommodate my stay. The representative told me that the room was part of a timeshare and no longer available to me. This was odd since I received confirmation the night before that my room was ready for checkin. The alternatives provided were not in the same location nor would they comparable. I chose to get a refund and was fortunate enough to find a nearby airbnb as nearby resort locations were booked. Unfortunately the cost of the location was higher and unexpected. This experience was completely unacceptable and I caution anyone looking to book this location.

Beautiful location right on the coastline. Friendly staff. Cleanliness top notch. Enjoyed food trucks on site. Convenient location for the beach, Makai Golf Club, Lumahei beach and Hotel 1. Recommend visiting!

The only issue was the distance to main attractions like Waimea Canyon, but it was a gorgeous stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

3.5 stars feels about right. Nice ocean views, big balcony, and lots of space. Furnishings are of a good but not great quality, a bit dated. We were given an accessible unit for some reason, though we did not request one. The front desk at Shearwater has very limited hours, so if you are checking in after 4 PM, you have to check in at the sister property.

a lot of rust around the rooms. not very clean inside.
