Superbe hôtel au centre-ville mais pas de piscine.

De passage dans la région de Newport (Rhode Island), nous avons décidé de faire un arrêt à Providence, la capitale du Rhode Island. Nous pensions faire une saucette le soir mais, oups!, pas de piscine. De plus, nous avons été surpris et déçus d'avoir à payer 26$ U.S. pour stationner à l'hôtel.

Nice hotel centrally located. Parking is not included and there was no mention of this or cost on Hotels.com so fyi it’s $30 a night to park.

The bedding seemed to be either too old (overused) or not changed from the previous guests. It was not dirty, but not clearly cleaned either. The cleaning staff were great, very tentative. The front desk ladies were not friendly, but not rude. It was this weird vibe, they are not rude, but you don’t feel welcomed to be there. We stayed at many other courtyards throughout the country and this one just doesn’t match the standard.

I went to Downtown Providence, RI for the weekend and had a great time, hotel was clean, staff was very nice at the time of check-in and out, also at breakfast in the morning. There are a lot of Bars and restaurants close by the area and within walking distance and different activities.

The staff was charging for every single thing including toothpaste/brush and even a side of Parmesan for my meal. I don’t think I would’ve complained except they were very rude about it every time. It also didn’t show that our rooms were paid for so they had me call the corporate line (45 min call) and it ended up being their error (I would’ve been double charged if I didn’t say something). It just seemed like everything was about paying them. I felt very much like I was an inconvenience rather than a guest. It is obvious this is privately owned.

I asked for the room to be cleaned and came back with the room untouched. Got to the room and the TV was crooked, one of the screws for the stand was loose. Ceiling in the bathroom was dirty, looks like a leak developed from the top room.
