Mark, I'm glad that overall, your stay was pleasant. However, I aim to make our guests happier than that. When I saw your review I immediately made enquiries. Here are two responses from the staff: Good afternoon Don, Regarding the recent review left by the previous guests I myself am also disappointed and would like to clarify on the points that the guests made. Regarding the Sliding door, the door handle on the opposite side of the actual door became loose during their stay (I fixed it today, it was delayed due to sourcing the precise sized screws). As for the AC remote problem that was mentioned it was brought to my attention that the remote batteries had died just a day before their checkout day, which I promptly swapped out with fresh batteries. The Washer/Dryer machine had also not been working sometime last week during their stay, the washer part of the machine was not starting up. So I had contacted Norman from Manpower our regular contractor who then had to go out and find a new switch for the circuit board to replace the bad one. I apologized and I also informed the guests that it was being fixed, there were some delays on the contractors end however I did redirect the guests to use our on site laundry room which they agreed to. Kind Regards, Claud Morning Don, I have received your email regarding the concerns outlined in the review and read their review, and I share your disappointment in learning about these issues post-guest stay. Regarding the A/C remotes, this is the first instance we've been made aware of any such an issue. I personally conducted a thorough walkthrough inspection prior to your guests' arrival, and everything was in working order at that time. Claud, who is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of owner's units, can corroborate this with his checks before the last guest's arrival and prior to the current guests' stay. That said, Claud will investigate this matter with the current guests to ensure any necessary repairs or replacements are dealt with, but chances are they were simply using the wrong remotes with the different A/C's as they are different systems. As for the broken handle on the sliding door, I was informed of this matter by Claud just yesterday. Norman, from Manpower, was brought to the property to address the issue as well as to fix a washer and dryer issue in the Whitehouse which was reported a couple days ago by your last guests. While the washer and dryer issue were sorted, and unfortunately, despite Norman's best efforts, he was unable to rectify the situation. At the moment, we are exploring alternative solutions, such as securing the handle with different types of screws or installing a metal plate in its place. It's worth noting that while this handle is not essential for the door's functionality, though we understand its benefit to the guests use. Also keep in mind that your sliding doors are scheduled for replacement in the fall, which will provide a long-term solution to such concerns.
