Perfect cape experience

Great location but needs TLC
Publié le 10 août 2024 sur HomeAwayLocated on a cute and quiet street, this unit is in need of TLC. stains on carpet, sofa, chairs and outdoor furniture. The unit is for sale so assuming current owner not putting in any investments and it’s showing for sure. Del Mar is great - have stayed at other spots they manage / and this one doesn’t hold up. Small issue they sent a maintenance person right away. Great for dogs but definitely not one of my favorite Ptown spots.

Unfortunately underwhelming

The couch was stained, there were ants in the bathroom, most the lights were burnt out so we needed to go buy bulbs, the mattress was stained, the rugs essentially were worn out. All of the shades essentially were broken or ripped, the front screen was ripped and the heat didn’t work, and when it did it would clank all night.
The neighbors were noisy and always in and out of their cars all day and night which sat in front of this little cottage, there really was only a couch for sitting. The bar stools were the same height essentially as the counter and worn. The pans were all scratched up so not really good for use.
We really much wanted this place to be amazing. All of our past experience with VRBO have been outstanding. We paid a lot for this place and it didn’t live up to the pricing by any means. We are leaving our luggage outside at home to make sure any ants are gone as well.
Aside from all of that, PTown was amazing as always with so many great shops and magical restaurants. We will be very careful in the future and pay more attention to how close other places may be as well. I hate having to give such a negative review and normally never would but that is how dissatisfied we were with the quality and cleanliness of this rental. It has potential to be very nice.

Hidden Cottage
