This review is apparently written out of spite in an attempt to get a full refund. I quote from the message sent by the guest via e-mail: "I wAnt full refund i did not agree for partial refund give me back all my money ill remove the review cause believe me once they read the review no one will be renting" The spelling mistakes and the language used is from the guest's message. The guest did complain about cobwebs and feeling unsafe the next day after checking in. We assured the guest that the place is absolutely safe because we have never had any act of vandalism in the past 17 years. We asked for photos of the house that would substantiate the complaints of uncleanliness so that we could take remedial action. Note that the owners are not physically present at the property and cannot evaluate its condition without photographs or independent evidence. The guests vacated the house after having stayed one night. After promising to send photographs and repeated requests, the guest has failed to provide any photographs that would back his claims. Failure to provide photographs should in itself be sufficient proof that this guest is not honest and is making unwarranted claims. Nevertheless, we called VRBO and refunded the guest for the 2 unused nights. We would certainly not rent to this guest in the future and would caution others to take into consideration the facts of this case before renting to this guest.

Unfortunately, this was beyond our control. We, the owners, were out of the country and a full-time caretaker who takes care of the property and the guests completely neglected his work without our knowledge. He is now fired and we have a new responsible caretaker. The property, now, is immaculately clean. All the rooms look as clean as in the photos. The guests are well taken care of. This house is on the prime point of Costambar, with stunning panoramic views of the Atlantic ocean and Isabella Mountain. Next to this main house, attached is a one-bedroom apartment rented separately (Vrbo id# 66478) and has over 50 POSITIVE reviews. We have been renting for the last 16 years with no complaints.
