I consider myself well travelled so have solid all inclusive experience in Mexico. We paid extra for preferred tower and it was subpar! The lounge area sucked, the food choices were small, even their coffee station was weak. The lounge area was not well thought out. Not enough comfortable seating, loud, un-inviting. The pools are were underwhelming. Seating sucked. Pool towels smell like mold and the food was terrible. Absolutely terrible. Here’s what’s good. The workers are kind, all the way around. The beach is pretty and the location of the hotel is not far from the airport. Stay here if you want to be hungry and spend your days is messy pools and stinky towels and most definitely don’t pay for their preferred tower. It’s a complete waste of your money!

We liked that it was close to downtown Puerta Vallarta. The size of the property was perfect. Entertainment during the day and evening were great as was the food and service. Everybody was very friendly. The only thing we didn’t like was that the multiple weddings took away space for the paying guests to enjoy the sun tanning beds.

I went with my family (6 adults 2 kids) and it was perfect! There was something for everyone. The kids felt perfe tly safe and comfortable. The resprt was the perfect size. Food at all the restaurants was excellent!!! Even the buffet. I highly recommend!

Our air conditioning went on and off unpredictably. I asked for a maintenance person to visit. When he did, the A/C was working and he left. Thank goodness for the fan. Room 1760.

Upside: Overall good hotel and restaurants. The Asian restaurant and Carnival buffet was very good. The 3rd floor lobby bar and hang out area was very nice. Down sides: room service, pool food and drinks were mediocre. At check in they try to rope you into a time share so BEWARE. Very pushy and not ok as we paid over $650 a night and didn’t want to get hustled upon arrival. Also the pool area felt like a cruise ship. Can’t sit on the beach front chairs as vendors harrass constantly. Looked like majority of people were over 50 or had small children. DJ was way too loud and most of the music genre not appropriate for the overall age of guests. They did change genres part of the day but hard relax with the music blaring. Room was nice and clean but the smell of the cleaning solution was overwhelming. Had to leave the slider open all night to keep the smell down and keep fresh air circulating.

The pools (and beach area) were well kept and were perfect temperature. The restaurants had delicious food choices and excellent staff/service. Ricardo is hands down, amazing! The room was beautiful and had a beautiful view! The kid activities are endless and attractive to all ages. I will definitely be returning

What we did not like was they close the ocean swim up bars at 6pm. Still light and sun sets for 2 1/2 hrs???? WHY Older property but very still nice. Our "OUR Butler Jose was the BEST ever!!! We stayed in all adult Secrets side! All wait staff excellent. But closing the pool bar so early was a buzz killer for everyone. With such beautiful sunsets, why close so early.
