Our stay was excellent, the room was awesome with very comfortable beds, my whole family slept good and the views were amazing. The food was so delicious and the staff were so respectful. We all enjoy kayaking and the hike was so fun. This was one of our most memorable vacation we have ever taken.

This property can be a bit confusing as it is two separate hotels. One is on the beach and the other is up on the hillside. They allow you to go back and forth but they have very different vibes. We tried to book at the hotel on the beach and had no idea that we had been "upgraded" to the place on the hillside, which is not what we wanted. The hillside hotel is not nearly as relaxing as the decor is a bit chaotic and doesn't really know what it wants to be. Giant chess pieces, gold, silver, checkers... I have no clue what they are going for. But the rooftop is great. The restaurants are good but not as good as their sister resort in Cabo. The best one we went to was the Chinese restaurant Dao and the rooftop. The drinks are sometimes good, sometimes not. It depends on where you are and when you order. You can order a margarita and it's great and then you order another round and it tasted completely different. Consistency in bar training could help. The staff was hit or miss. We were assigned a personal conceriage who was hounding us about a membership plan and when we didn't sign up for the presentation we never heard from her again. I think overall this place is too concerned with trying to sell you on a membership and needs to focus more on service. The check in process is not good. We waited in the lobby almost an hour to check in. That is unacceptable at a fancy resort. They had one person working check in desk but lots of staff for selling memberships.

We received no VIP access or upgrades. Went to dinner Monday evening at Blanca Blue and wife came down with food poisoning and was bedridden the rest of week. This was verified with the hotel’s Doctor. She could not leave room until we flew out on Saturday. In addition service at pool was terrible as the servers catered to the larger crowds. Terrible experience for the amount of money spent. We will be writing more reviews on many sites.
