We stayed in the Grand Junior Suite and the views were incredible! The room was spacious and spotless. The hotel was quiet and very nice. Transportation to town was easy and cabs were always available. The staff was always available and accommodating. They could use a few more lounges and umbrellas around the pool. Breakfast was different everyday and tasty. Since the hotel was not walking distance to anything it would have been nice to have a little snack area to get items like chips, power bars, sodas, chap stick, etc. to take to the room. If you didn't get it in town, you didn't have it! Otherwise it was a delightful stay.

The Grand Miramar is a beautiful hotel nestled in the quiet hills of Conchas Chinas. The daily breakfast was great, with a variety of both freshly prepared hot dishes and fresh fruit, juices and coffee. The concierge was very helpful, handling all of our questions and requests promptly. We enjoyed an afternoon at the spa, with lovely massage therapists and a relaxing sauna. The women’s steam room was not working, which was a bummer. My husband utilized the gym, so that was convenient. The location is beautiful and quiet, with expansive balcony views and beautiful sunsets. The reason I’m rating 4/5 is as follows. The service and food our first evening was not very good, but we felt the breakfast mostly made up for the lackluster evening experience. The pool service could use improvement, employees are not attentive in that area. The hot tub was more like a lukewarm bath and the pool was cold..and I know, the weather is typically hot..but the week we were there it was only 70F with a decent breeze, so a warmer hot tub would have been great. The option to adjust the temperature would have been wonderful. And lastly, this was a sleepy hotel on a sleepy hill. The hills are cobblestone which make for a very bumpy (albeit inexpensive) taxi to and from town, with no nightlife or food options within the immediate area. And truth be told, the facilities are not great enough to want to stay solely at the hotel. Now that I know this, I would prefer to stay closer to town.

The Zona Romántica is a short drive by taxi down the hill but this lovely property sits at the summit, well above all the hustle, bustle and NOISE! The views from the rooms over the Bahía de Banderas are spectacular.

We really like this place. I traveled with my wife and three children ages 13 to 18. The place was really spacious for us and felt pretty comfortable with the service and amenities available. We had no problem getting cars to and from the grand Miramar despite being on top of the hill. This was actually a really nice feature because it got us away from everything. We had no problem getting to downtown Puerto Vallarta within 10 minutes. The food choices were adequate and the menu was fun to explore however, not everything on the menu was available. For instance, they didn’t have the ribeye tacos. They were good and we didn’t care because of all the other choices. Their concierge was extremely helpful and setting up activities Every day they even helped us arrange extremely good restaurant recommendations which really made our evening special. All in all we go back in a heartbeat and it’s not a surprise when I met other vacationers who regularly return to the grand Miramar.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The property kicked us out on our second night around 2-3am. They then proceeded to call “police” who handcuffed me and took the cash in my wallet. They then drove my girlfriend around to various ATMs trying to have her withdraw more money. Luckily, her bank detected fraud due to the amount and time and wouldn’t allow the transactions to process. I then asked for a refund for the hotel nights and was denied by this property. The hotel staff lied to Expedia and my CC company and told them we stayed the entire time. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!

There are no amenities near the hotel. Anything and everything is 5-10 mins by car. But this is something we were looking forward to. Up on the hilltop calm quiet and a view that will stay with you for a very long time. Just wish we had a room on one of the top floors. Overall amazing experience.

Staff was awaine. Hotel is beautiful. The only thing is that u really cant walk out of the property because its on a steep long hill. U need a taxi for everything . Me and my wife enjoyed our stay. Excellent staff and service. Quiet and spacious suites. Lovely views of the bay. You can see Fireworks from one of the beachside hotels that are down below usually around 9 PM. It’s difficult to give excellent marks on everything because for some areas it should be 4.5 as a rating but overall an Excellent choice. I would stay here again if I needed to be away from the city. This property is focused where you want to stay in place instead of venturing out to the city or go excursions. You can most certainly do all of that and there is a concierge service for this. However, I did ask about options for a day trip and they never got back to. The nearest beach, Conchas Chinas, is a hike down and back up. Well worth it but for those not interested in hiking or walking distances to attractions a taxi is always near by for a quick pick up and drop off. Here is why the property gets a 4.5 however, the coffee at breakfast wasn’t great. Next up, the lower level pools are blocked from sunlight by surrounding buildings in the afternoon. During the hot months this may not matter much.

The staff is friendly, but the hotel has declined over the last few years. The food options are limited; many things have been eliminated from the past. The upkeep of the hotel is drastically different from the early years. We decided that this would be our final trip.
