Lovely cottage 15 minutes from Sainte Emilion
Posted May 15, 2022 on HomeAwayThis very clean and comfortable cottage is in the country a short drive from Sainte Emilion. Quiet, pastoral setting. It was out base for drives in the area and for a relaxing time at the end of the day. We opted for the breakfast which was very reasonable and delish - yougurt, fruit, pastries, juice and coffee. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The furnishings were modern and comfortable. Everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay.

Beautifully Renovated Gite
Posted Sep. 25, 2017 on HomeAwayWe absolutely loved our stay in the newly renovated and totally modern gîte. The photos in the listing are accurate and if anything understate how nice this place is. Steve and Rob couldn't be better hosts! They are warm, friendly and willing to look after you in any way they can. Our stay started off with a tour of their vineyard and winery along with a tasting. They produce a very good quality wine - we bought several bottles! After a day touring the area it was nice to get back to Clos Vieux Rochers and just relax.
The gîte is well appointed if you want to cook in and there is a good selection of good cafes in the area if you want to eat out. We had several great meals in the gîte and tried some of the local restaurants as well.
We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone visiting the Bordeaux region!

Wonderfull week between the vineyards
Posted Aug. 1, 2021 on HomeAwayWe had a wonderfull week in the gites of Steve and Rob, surrounded by their own vineyard. The gite has everything needed, enough space, nice bedroom and bathroom, a covered car parking, outdoor furniture. We could also enjoy the garden and the petanque court, which Steve and Rob share with the guests. The first day of our stay we enjoyed a very interesting tour of the property and wine cellar, including a tasting of the latest bottled wine - good stuff ! Steve and Rob are very friendly and helpfull hosts, always available to help or answer any question.
The location is very quiet but ideal to discover the surrounding villages and towns by car or bike. Saint-Emilion is nearby, visiting Bordeaux from here is easy, there are lovely small villages between the vineyards and on the borders of the Dordogne.
Great place, great hosts, great stay !
