Beachfront paradise
Publié le 8 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur family booked the accommodation for an extra special weekend…our daughter’s wedding at Old Forrest School. We were not disappointed when we turned up and saw the location and view. The house was clean and tidy and provided the perfect place to relax around a very busy but fabulous weekend. This was a weekend to remember and we hope to return soon for a weekend of sun, sea and relaxation. Pukehina will forever hold a place in our hearts.

Wonderful getaway spot

House is very functionally set up with everything you need and Nicola is an outstanding host. For bigger groups, this house offers some separation between the bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is awesome! Great location for a quiet get-away.

Awesome long weekend getaway
Publié le 25 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayStress free comfortable weekend away. Familt loved it. Little hiccup and we were offered a free night, generous and kind hosts. Booking was a bit of a nightmare but the host sorted it and we were able to enjoy their lovely house. The neighbors were nice to. Beach was lovely, would go back.

We had an awesome break from the hustle and bustle of city life. The house is well equipped and we had everything we needed to self cater for our 5 day stay.
Nicola kept in contact when needed and was very helpful and friendly throughout. Highly recommended as the locality is approximately an hour drive to either Tauranga or Whakatane for day trip explorations. Keep it up Nicola and looking forward to meeting up again.

Was the most relaxing and enjoyable staycation my family and I have had, and our host Nicola was very helpful with any queries we had on our stay there.The property was clean and tidy inside and out with awesome views of the ocean and surrounding islands . Definitely returning for a longer stay on our next vacation and highly recommend this property for your next dream holiday

Clean and tidy house
Publié le 9 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwayProperty was beautiful & clean and tidy. New kitchen and modern bathrooms. Beds were a bit hard and small. Otherwise beautiful property. We did think from the photos that the property was at sea level and that you could walk straight out the door onto the beach. But its up high and you have access via a driveway to the beach.

Thanks for your review Bev. Sorry you found the beds a bit hard. None of our other guests have noted a problem with them. I’m not sure why you found the beds small. I can assure you they are all standard sizes.
Beach access is via the private laneway on the property - as noted in the advertised property information. Several pictures clearly show minimal fencing along the beach front. They are in place to discourage guests walking on the dunes to the beach and encourage them to use our laneway as beach access. The dunes on all of New Zealand’s beaches are fragile. A year ago, we planted 300 sand catching grasses - spinifex and pingao, on our dune to help restore and protect it.

Relax and unwind on the beach
Publié le 10 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayWe had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Situated right on the beach with a dairy and fish n chip shop across the road. We don’t want to leave so we stayed an extra few days.
