The Space:
Heron's Landing is a lovingly-decorated, all-new construction, ranch-style vacation home set on a large, private lot on the east shore of 99-acre Upper Scott Lake. Heron’s Landing features 75 feet of lake frontage, thought the home is set back from the water’s edge with room for a grassy lawn and a fire pit between the house and the small, private swimming area with a dock. The home has 7 bedrooms & 4 full bathrooms, as well as a great room area that includes: a full kitchen, 4-seat breakfast/games table, lounge area with leather sofa seating & large-screen (55") HD TV with satellite service & DVD player, and a dining area with extra-large (12-person) table. The rec room features pool, air hockey, and foosball tables, as well as a 2nd large-screen (55") HD TV lounge area with leather sofa seating. The screened porch off the great room features a ceiling fan & 7-pc. dining set. Our lake-facing deck includes 2 large outdoor dining tables with bench & chair seating for up to 16, as well as an XL Titan park-style all-season charcoal grill (new for spring 2024; BYO charcoal & starter fluid).

Guest Access:
You will have access to the entire property, including the private dock, swimming area, and our complimentary canoe.
Guests have the flexibility to gain convenient access to our home via the keypad entry system any time after the designated check-in time on their scheduled arrival date.
Note: Our docks, watercraft, gas grills & outdoor dining furniture are not available Oct 25-Apr 15.

The Neighborhood:
Discover the charm of Upper Scott Lake and beyond, with nearby attractions that offer plenty of year-round activities.
In spring, enjoy the vibrant blooms and greenery.
Summer means dune rides in Saugatuck, soaking up all the fun and sun at South Haven & Saugatuck's beautiful beaches, biking trails, and finding fruit galore: cherries, blueberries, raspberries, and peaches.
Fall allows for scenic walks through the nearby Allegan State Game Area, and picking fresh apples or sipping cider straight from local orchards.
And Michigan winters offer skiing, ice skating, and plenty of other snow-filled fun.
We’re 10-15 minutes from Crane’s Orchards and Dutch Farms - amazing pies and fruit picking. There are over 27 area wineries offering tastings and tours! For antique lovers, the area has a treasure trove of stores in South Haven, Allegan, Douglas, and Saugatuck.

Getting Around:
To explore all the amazing spots in Southwest Michigan, you’ll definitely need a car! We are conveniently located to coastal towns—just 15 minutes from downtown South Haven, 20 minutes from Saugatuck, and 25 minutes from Holland.
Please note: We don’t offer electric vehicle (EV) charging on-site. Attempting to charge an EV here damages our electrical system, any violations will incur a $400.00 fee plus any repair costs. Thank you for helping us keep things running smoothly!

Other Things to Note:
Wi-Fi internet is provided by AT&T, but they only offer limited speeds best suited to web browsing & checking email. More than a few connected devices at a time will cause lag. We provide satellite TV & DVD players for all our homes since video streaming is not an option.
Kindly refrain from sticking anything to our walls or using tinsel, glitter, confetti, feathers, etc. during your stay; these leave messes that are hard & time-consuming for our limited staff to clean up.
Our 16 guest limit includes 12-14 adults max; the 7th bedroom is outfitted with 2 twin bunk bed sets intended for kids. All guests over age 2 count in your total.

If you have any questions or need assistance during your stay, feel free to reach out to our friendly Local House Manager, DJ. We had a wonderful stay at this house, perfect layout for our big family. The view of the lake is spectacular, and the fire is a great place to gather in the evenings. We would have loved it, though, if hairdryers and beach towels were provided; they are very bulky and heavy to carry in your suitcase on the plane. Would be a nice addition!

We had a wonderful week at this lake house with our family. The beach was perfect for the kids, the house was great with plenty of bed and bathrooms for all 15 of us.We had so much fun kayaking and canoeing and watching the beautiful sunset. It was peaceful and perfect.

This is the 2nd year we have held a woman's retreat at this property. I cannot say enough about the manger and the the home. The space is so open, peaceful, the blue sky reflection in the lake, so many stars at night...feels like you can reach out and touch them... it is a perfect getaway. We will be back next year for round 3!!

Girls Trip
We stayed here for our yearly girls trip. The house was a wonderful fit of our needs plenty of rooms and bathrooms for everyone. The view of the lake was wonderful especially as we enjoyed the firepit one afternoon. The kitchen was well stocked and equipped with all the utensils you could need. Only disappointment was the cleanliness of the grill. We planed to cookout one night and the grill was clean and not taken care of.

Girls 70th Birthday Getaway
We were a group of 8 women all classmates celebrating our 70th birthday with a Michigan getaway This was a perfect place and setting for us 7 spacious bedrooms 4 bathrooms So many places for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night conversions and we especially took advantage of the fire pit with the lake view Elizabeth and Christine were very helpful with emails and texts concerning any questions and also for instructions during our stay We cannot wait to plan our next get together at this property

Family get away
The property was just as described. Very comfortable for large families. The outdoor area was very nice, large beautiful fire pit perfect for the cooler evenings we had with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed taking the canoe out on the lake. The lake was small enough for us to get a chance and explore all the shoreline. The kitchen was very large which was perfect for all of us to cook together. Close to the quaint towns of Saugatuck and South Haven. Both had many options for lunch and dinner. The only issue we had was with receiving the door code. The door code for check in is only provided via e-mail 10 minutes prior to check in. In our case we never received the door code and trying to reach the host was challenging. There is somewhat spotty cell reception in the area so it was a concern when we did not receive it. Thankfully there was a note on the door when we arrived (at 5:10p) that gave a different house manager's name/# who answered the phone right away when we called and gave us the code.

We really enjoyed our stay at the lake house. Everything is as pictured, the house is kept really clean. We stayed with a large group of family so it was very convenient to have many bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. We enjoyed the pool table and entertainment in the front room. We had some trouble with the wifi and called for some help, Christine came out within an hour and was able to get it working again, that was really appreciated. The house is as pictured and the lake access was great, kids enjoyed playing in the sand and going in the water. Would visit again!

Retreat by the Lake
This was a wonderful place. It was better than we had expected. We used this as a retreat space for a long weekend for our clients. It could not have worked out better. There was enough space for 10 people to sleep comfortably. We did not need to worry about dishes, linens, or backdrops...the lake is so clear and beautiful. Swans visited us every day, a bald eagle, and ducks. Peaceful and welcoming. I felt like this was MY HOME that I invited people to. The manager was super easy to reach and very helpful! Anyone having a wedding at Something Blueberry Farm great place to stay. We had 3 houses and they were all awesome. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms for a large group. Outside was beautiful. Would love to come back in the summertime.

This was our 2nd year at this house There are 7 of us seniors, in our 70s Anne have been doing a weekend every year for 25 years. We choose a different area of Michigan every year, but returned here, because the house is a good fit for us, central to places we want to go. House was well laid out and bedrooms/bathrooms clean and comfortable. Kitchen & kitchen utensils/appliances functioned well. View from the deck was West over the lake so beautiful sunsets with a nice fire pit and canoe/dock. Lawn was a bit soggy after rain but dried up after a few days. Only problem was that we were told there was an issue with the washer but that it still worked and a replacement had been ordered. Tried it on last day before leaving and it did not work. Overall would stay there again.

Great property for multi-generational families!
Home is fairly new and very well equipped for every need. Management came immediately when we had a problem. Outside property was cleaned daily! Home came with a great canoe, which we used multiple times. Great lake for a quiet ride! Home (Kitchen, eating areas, back game area, 2 tv areas, 7 bedrooms, 4 baths, 2 porches, large lawn area, fire pit and shallow sandy beach for little ones) was great for all!
