We had an excellent stay at the Novotel in Pune. Staff were all very helpful and attentive - and we got a room upgrade on check in which was a welcome surprise! There was an issue with a leaking A/C in the room which was fixed promptly. Nice to have access to a pool but unfortunetly the pool bar and surrounding area was undergoing refurbishments. Would definitley recommend staying here if you are visiting Pune!

Stayed here for 5 nights. Poor hotel with hygiene issues - I found cockroaches inside my room and black mold in the showerhead . A couple of towels had yellow stains. The gym was not functioning.
I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff but there was not even an apology or an attempt to set it right. They were busy making sure the "housekeeping staff" gets the blame rather than addressing the issue that I brought up. I found their attitude very affected (they are trained to say "yes sir" and be courteous in a robotic way) and insensitive.
Overall the hotel is certainly not luxury grade - and certainly not up to the standard of a 5 stars. There are 3 star hotels that are cleaner and provide better service. Certainly not a hotel I would consider again for business or pleasure travel.
