When we arrived, they had sold our room. Hotel and expedia were no help. Hotel was dirty abd scary area. Far from beach which is pictured. No refund yet.

We will always have a soft spot in our hearts for the Marimba. My wife and I wish that we could buy it and restore it to its 1930s glory, while keeping it reasonably priced. The staff are great and we would tart there again on our next visit to Punta Cana.

The property was very outdated. Lobby furniture looked very well used. My room had a leaking airconditioner and it was extremely hot. Front desk did accommodate me a room change Pool around back was clean. There was mold growing around the circle drain of the sink. In the lobby was a bottled water jug cooler. This would not be my first choice. But worked well in a pinch. A lot of local shopping and restaurants in walking distance.

I do not recommend it for families with children. It stinks of cigarette smoke and marijuana. It looks more like a motel than a hotel. Also, the customer service is terrible.

Booked and prepaid 2 rooms at this hotel. When we got there, they gave our rooms to somebody else and relocated us in a nearby hotel which was extremely dirty, with stains on the bedsheets. Will not recommend and will never go back.

No hay seguridad para el huésped, las instalaciones no son como se presentan en las fotos, estuvimos sin luz los 3 días de estancia, el agua de lluvia entra por las ventanas, el personal que nos recibió estaba delgado… no lo recomiendo en lo absoluto. Elpidia debería de sacarlos de sus propiedades por seguridad a los huéspedes.
