Imagine having a great vacation and at the end of all have that feeling taken away. 2 people chose to have you escorted off the property with your luggage because the transportation that you booked through the hotel was no longer an accepted transportation service. Mind you the same transportation company was allowed on the property to drop us off however when it was time to be picked up to go home, I was told that it was a mistake that they were allowed on the property in the first place. The driver that we had through the car service mentioned that she was there 3 times the day before. I am struggling to understand the disconnect and how the property felt it was acceptable to tell their guest upon departure that they need to get off their property to be able to access their scheduled ride service. Their idea of "off the property" was the side of the main street while there are other guests arriving and departing witnessing our luggage being placed on the street. It was one of the most hamulating times in my lifetime. The scheduled driver was uneasy to assist us because while waiting for us to resolve the situation she was threatened by the security guard with physical harm to the point where a bystander needed to remind the guard that he was speaking to a lady and was told that the police would be called if she stayed any longer. I wrote to the hotel in their survey about what happened and to their FB account and they never reached out to us to rectify or explain.

The resort itself is BEAUTIFUL. Very chic and trendy. The atmosphere is more of a relaxing type of vacation with a little bit of partying. I recommend if you want something a little quieter. The entertainment was great at night for the time we went since it rained most nights but the staff made the best of it. The food was great at all the restaurants. Rooms were very clean and every single staff member was very friendly and welcoming. I wish there were more activities at the resort itself but overall I would go back just for the relaxation and food at this resort. Great for couples! Lots of romantic things to organize and make your trip special. Spa services, private dinner on the beach, and dinner in the wine cellar at the French restaurant. Lots of food options throughout the day and 24/7 room services came in handy for the late night.

Service was horrible! The resort itself is beautiful but if you’re Latino do not come here. Everyone else around us received better service while we didn’t. They asked us what our ethnicity was and since then it went downhill. Anytime we asked for things like a fruit flavored drink they were out of it and instead would give it to other guest IN FRONT OF US. Staff was rude and lazy. We tipped and still couldn’t get decent service. When we asked for a water bottle at one of their restaurants the waiter said no because if “ I have to get one for you I have to get one for everyone and I don’t want to do that.” Bartenders are horrible they don’t know how to make any drinks and the drinks they did know how to make were disgusting. The glasses were dirty and when complained about the staff didn’t offer to replace it. Horrible, horrible service never coming back.

VIP access is not worth the additional cost. The butler did not attend us and would respond 1hr later. Our butler asked for our departure time to pick us up and did not show up even 15 minutes later. During the VIP “tour” of the hotel, they tell you you will receive a “welcome gift” the next day. I would recommend declining as this resulted in a waste of 4hours as staff attempt to lure you into paying for a subscription for future stays. For the additional money you pay for a higher caliber hotel, this was not worth it for us.

The service was amazing from the moment you check in to the hotel. The property itself was beautiful and gave such a luxe atmosphere and experience. The food selection was phenomenal!! I would definitely stay here again.

The property is very clean and well maintained. I love that they have staff do daily pool and beach cleanings and room housekeepings. I love that they are the only property around with a safety/seaweed net on their side of the beach. It shows that they care about people’s safety and keeping the beach clean and free of seaweed. What could be better is their food and drinks. Food-wise, most of the food is very mid or bad. I did not enjoy anything I tried from their Huzur and Sospiro restaurant. The burger at The Grill was inedible. It was the worst burger I’ve ever had in my life. It was hard as a rock and just plain and bland. It’s like the chef did not even care. I hated every single pastry I tried, from their Cool Fever coffee shop to their breakfast buffet. Room-service options were also very limited and unappealing. The alcohol was also truly a disappointment. The cocktails were inconsistent depending on where you go and who makes it. I don’t know what syrup they use but it’s just bad. I tried most of their alcohol and the best ones are the most basic ones. I did enjoy majority of what I had at their Miraflores and Chez Rose restaurants. The other restaurant had items that were hit or miss. I did also think the wait times for the food is very slow at times. Like I waited a whole hour and had to ask about my food for them to bring it.. All in all, I do recommend a short vacation here, it’s very nice and relaxing. Staff are generally nice and welcoming.

Staff - most staff was laid back which means slow service throughout. However, the people that were great and did amazing work, were the entertainment team and our server at the quiet pool - Dalqui. She worked so hard and was as fast as possible. She really showed us that service at the resort could be good. Resort - beware, they are building a sister resort very very close by next door. The first night, we ended up in a room facing the construction site (we booked garden view by choice). I was willing to disregard the noise and the 4 story concrete wall 25 feet away from our balcony, but the construction workers would stop work and start staring at me from above every time I would go out on my balcony. The next day we requested a different room and the resort moved us on the other side of the resort, when asked for the reason, they knew what I referred to, so they know it is a problem with that side of the resort, but they still put guests in those rooms. On that side, where we got moved to, the next door resort is in construction as well, but it was relatively quieter and much more private so it was better. Noise - last night a party in the swim out pool below us at 3 am. Called front desk and they sent security. Food - hit and miss. One night good, the next night bad-same restaurants. Membership - stay away from the membership people pitch. I caught them lying. They said 1 thing and their contract was something else. They serve you with drinks hoping you will not read.
