Cheap and cheerful, great location

Friendly service and great location. Check-in was quick and easy. The hotel is about a 5-10 mininute walk from beach, supermarket and numerous bars and restaurants.

Hmmmm....

Posted Feb. 7, 2016 on Expedia
Stayed for 3 nights as was cheaper than any other hotel by $100 a night. Ladies that ran the place were very nice. There was no housekeeping, no shampoo, no A/C. The rooms were dirty and the bathroom smelled like sewage. There were no bugs which was great! Breakfast is toast. Hotel was ok but for 70 US a night it did not meet our expectations. Wouldn't recommend to a friend.

Old but quiet nice place

Posted Jan. 12, 2015 on Expedia
Really old hotel with simple rooms and not super clean. Staff (two old ladys) doesn't speak any English but was very hospitable. Wifi works only in public area. Close to everything, especially to night places. So it's cheap for this area but don't expect 5star service.

Struck in time

Posted Nov. 24, 2014 on Expedia
Hotel is rated 2 stars, for the price of a night you can get a better one. Too overpriced. Better go to a hostel if you are in the kind of thing. TV was from late 80s, no remote control no air conditioning, more a bed and breakfast than a hotel. Wifi tough, but everything in the books was made by signature hand, no computers anyware. Looks like going back to 1985

What you pay is what you get

Posted Feb. 17, 2013 on Expedia
Pros: Great location
Cons: Very outdated, needs lots of maintenance
Location: Very conveniently located
What you pay is what you get. The rooms could be better maintained and cleaner. The breakfast is toast, dulce de leche and coffee - no variety or fruit.

fine to stay here in summer but in winter it's freezing cold, no heating!

Posted Jul. 26, 2011 on Expedia
great location, great price, not so great as we were staying in winter and there were portable gas heaters floating around the rooms, ie not enough to for every room. When we asked for a heater the owner had to take it form someone else who was still using it! Even with the heater it was still cold. Otherwise a good stay, lots of character, and if you like cats even better! Breakfast was coffee and toast (standard local fare). Restaurants nearby (again it was winter so not very much choice) were good enough. Very safe area and the rooms had a safe so no worries, which is great in this part of the world.

Excellent location, excellent value for the price

Posted Mar. 29, 2011 on Expedia
The hotel is between the lighthouse and Puerto. Looks nice from the outside and has homey character. The personnel is nice and accommodating although they do not speak English. Our first room on the base level was a bit wet so we upgraded to a 3-bed room on the second floor; the room had a balcony. The hotel seemed to be needing some upgrades but for the price it was much better deal than many more expensive hotels in much worse locations. There is a good value restaurant across the street, and a fancy yet reasonably priced restaurant "El Pobre Marino" was just 2 blocks away.

Not so good, but cheap and very well located.

Posted Feb. 18, 2010 on Expedia
The hotel is old, apparently not so clean, but the room is OK, except for the small bathroom. The service is basic, the breakfast is simple, the staff is friendly. The neighborhood is fabulous, near the harbour, Gorlero and Remanso St, easy access to the beaches, restaurants, casinos, etc. If you are not looking for comfort and sophistication, and your intention is not to spend a lot of time inside the hotel, this is the place to stay in Punta.

Hotel económico, muy bien ubicado

Posted Apr. 22, 2019 on Hotels
Es una opción económica, destacada por su muy buena ubicación y la atención especialmente de su dueña. En temporada alta puede ser buena opción, creo que para temporada baja hay mejores opciones
