Too Restrictive
Publié le 8 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe advertisement for the property showed a boat lift but when we arrived it was padlocked. We had to call to get the combination lock to enter but there was a second combination lock that no one had the combination for. We waited half an hour for them to figure out how to get in. The thermostat was locked and we could not access it so the master was too warm in July. The place was nice and very clean but not accommodating.

After discussing your comments with the homeowner, they wanted to address the following:-The boat lift is no longer accessible to guests due to past incidents where it was damaged and the covers were taken. Unfortunately, the listing wasn’t updated in time before your arrival, and we sincerely apologize for this oversight. The listing has since been corrected to reflect the current amenities.-The thermostat is set to 72°F and is locked to conserve energy and prevent issues with the A/C system, as previous guests have caused damage by adjusting it too low.Thank you for your valuable feedback.

Publié le 13 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayNothing special about this place. No lounge chairs in the lanai. Very odd layout in the house and it does not say it but bring your own entertainment. No even local tv channels. You must log into your own streaming.

We genuinely appreciate your feedback, and the homeowner would like to share the following:-In regards to the lanai space, we understand the limitation and have provided two chairs and a table to accommodate guests comfortably within that area.-Regarding the Wifi password, we have made it available in two convenient locations: firstly, within the guest book situated atop the dining table, and secondly, below the Nest thermostat. We encourage guests to reach out to us for any assistance or information they may need during their stay.Our commitment to providing an exceptional stay remains steadfast, and we eagerly anticipate hosting many more satisfied guests.

Punta Gorda
Publié le 12 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayBeautiful location and close by to several places of interest.A few minor hiccups which were addressed on first day but continued on the stay with various emails to ask how things were going but no reply back.
Only has time to stay for five days but bought another house nearby so I guess you could say we liked it there in Punta Gorda!

Senior Citizen Getaway
Publié le 5 août 2023 sur HomeAwayOverall experience was excellent. Everything pictured on the web site was accurate. Indoor pool on a canal fantastic. I had been a resident of Punta Gorda for over 20 years but had to move up north so this was a home coming. The location is ideally located for all activities. Harbor, restaurants, parks, trails, close by. Ease of check in and out was a pleasure. I would have given it 5 stars except for a minor blip. I was never able to get on their Wifi. Many communications with the people involved but it was never resolved. One of the roadblocks was the info sent to me differed from the info in the welcoming booklet in the house which differed from a wall posting of the wifi info also, somewhat confusing. After a couple of days a maintenance visit was promised but they never arrived. Thankfully this was not a deal breaker but should be corrected for future guests. Thank heavens for my Iphone. Highly recommend this unit for a short or long stay. 4.8 out of 5 stars.

Great location, but not ready for prime time. Communication issues
Publié le 17 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayPros: Awesome, super quiet neighborhood. Easy to get to/from. Nice house layout, pool, patio. Plenty of room to gather together. Great coffee pot. Loved the showers.
Cons: Trash and Recycle bins were full when we checked in.
Listing was not accurate, as there was no way to park a car in the garage due to pool table on right, low hanging light on left.
Only 1 hand towel provided. White towels had yellow stains. No kitchen linens. One pillow per person provided. There were extra pillows, but no pillow slips.
Bathrooms/Bedrooms had light bulbs that were out (reported to contact, but she never came to replace them). I washed the sheets, as they just didn't smell clean,
A/C kept going to "cool at 66 degrees" each evening. Had to keep turning it up to 72.
Beds way TOO SOFT!
Communication: Miscommunication on payment for pool heater, probably due to OUR changing the dates from January to February,
then March for medical issues. Had to speak to Evolve prior to stay as our payments weren't scheduled to be taken until after our stay. They were taken care of.
Summary: Essentials covered, but does not compare to other houses/condos we've rented. I wanted a 2 Bedroom/2Bath location to possibly rebook, but will look at other options in the area.
We have used Evolve in the past, and I will continue to prefer their listings.

Hi Cathy, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:
-We have begun working with our cleaning company to ensure that future guests do not share your experience.
-We weren't aware that the pool table had been moved by other guests and we apologize for the inconvenience with parking this issue caused for you. We have taken care to get it moved back to its original location to allow for parking in the garage, as stated in our listing.
-We have stocked up and added extra hand towels so that future guests have plenty during their stay.
-We have changed the lightbulbs in each room where lighting was an issue.
-Since your visit, we have adjusted the thermostat so that other travelers won't have to change the temperature each day.
-While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, we're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences.
