Second stay this summer
Publié le 4 août 2024 sur HomeAwayStayed twice this summer. Overall nice place, not fancy but an enjoyable get a way. There is still some broken glass that needs cleaned up (it was there last time as well). Either didn’t receive or couldn’t get the door code (internet isn’t great on the island). Thankfully, the bar tender at Hazards was able to call and get it for us. Would add some extra linens for the couch and loft.

Publié le 20 août 2022 sur HomeAwayThis was an old trailer in poor condition not a cottage. Loft bed was stained and smelled like urine as well. Would not let my 3 year old up there. Hot water only lasts 3 minutes so had to take cold showers. The water smelled unpleasant. Couch should have been replaced 10 years ago. Center sinks in. No wifi so the TV would not work. The photos of this place are very deceiving, neighbors are within 20 feet and it's a trailer park. Pool on the property was decent. 1/2 price for the week would still be overpriced
The best part of our trip was deciding to leave 3 days early and getting a hotel.

Great place for a place to sleep
Publié le 16 sept. 2020 sur HomeAwayQuiet (as in not the hustle and bustle of PIB) would recommend for those who want a place to sleep and island hop. Downfall was check in time and having to make a reservation on ferry was there 2 hours early due to only reservation on ferry and still couldn’t check in until 4

Disappointing
Publié le 19 juill. 2020 sur HomeAwayThe property was not very clean. The bathroom was gross- stained wall, rusted fixtures, no hot water, and 1 roll of toilet paper. We had 4 people and it was crowded, I can’t imagine 6. Thank goodness for the screened in porch so there was space to sit and eat. The dead bugs covering the windows windows made it look like it hadn’t been cleaned in several years. The neighbor vomiting outside our porch was the last straw. We left a day early. I had set my expectations low because i understood it was a trailer, but apparently not low enough.

Carrie, thanks for taking the time to leave us this feedback. We hate to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay and we appreciate you letting us know. We've touched base with the homeowner and wanted to address the following:
- A previous guest had stained the bathroom wall, but this has been addressed since your stay. The fixtures are a bit discolored - though not rusted - due to the well water they use.
- The home does have a small hot water tank, but it does recover quickly - we're sorry this was inconvenient for you.
- The bugs you are referring to were Mayflies; they only live for about 24 hours and arrive around the third week of June for about a month or so. We do our best to control this and ensure that the home itself is pest-free.
