Welcome to our cozy, small-scale holiday park 't Turfwegje in Putten. The ideal gateway to the largest nature reserve in the Netherlands: the Veluwe.

Are you looking forward to a nature getaway full of birds, woods, and tranquility? And do you appreciate atmosphere, privacy, and comfort? Then our beautiful four-person nature cottage "De Zwaluw" is a bullseye!

We, Jaap Jan and Sophie, have been proud owners of 't Turfwegje since 2022. Last year, we bid farewell to the Randstad, sold our house, and embarked on a new adventure with our three cats: running a holiday park. We had been coming to 't Turfwegje for two years, and when the previous owners mentioned at the kitchen table that they wanted to retire due to their age, a spark ignited in us. We fantasized about a life in beautiful Putten and decided to do everything in our power to keep the magic of 't Turfwegje alive. The park has a rich and warm history, and this is palpable. It's not a meticulously manicured mass park but a cozy and quaint place where everyone feels at home immediately. It has still been the best decision of our lives, and we look forward to sharing this place with more people.

Imagine this: You wake up after a wonderful night with the beautiful flute orchestra of many birds and open the doors to the garden. You inhale nature and, with a cup of coffee, walk to the hammock. You grab the book you've been wanting to start for so long and sink into it. A robin says good morning, and a squirrel curiously investigates if there are still nuts to be found. The rustling of the wind through the giant beech trees and the sun on your skin make you feel relaxed. Home seems very far away, and the real holiday feeling sets in.

"De Zwaluw" makes this blissful scenario come true! We offer a nature experience with the comfort of a fully furnished 4-person accommodation. Our cottage is not only fully equipped but also exudes a very cozy atmosphere. With love and an eye for detail, the cottage is styled so that you immediately feel at home.

"De Zwaluw" has a cozy living/dining room where you can play a game at the four-person table or relax with a book on the spacious sofa. From that sofa, you overlook the expansive garden that you share with many birds. In the garden, there is a round table with four chairs. The small veranda has a wooden bench where you can sit dry, and if you really want to doze off, there is the hammock. There are two bedrooms. In one bedroom, there is a double bed and an extensive built-in wardrobe. The other bedroom has a cozy bunk bed. The open kitchen has everything you need to prepare a nice meal: pans, plates, oven, gas stove, cutlery, glasses, cooking utensils, gas stove, etc. A Nespresso machine and kettle provide a cup of coffee or tea. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, and sink.

In the shed, there is a washing machine, an extra sunbed, and bicycles can be stored. There are also two bikes that you can use during your stay.

Putten is surrounded by forests, heaths, and lakes, making it an ideal region for nature lovers. In spring, you can enjoy fresh green leaves, lambs in the meadow, and beautiful flowers. Summer days are excellent for activities along the lakeshores or relaxing in the shade in the woods. The summer ends with picturesque purple heath fields. In autumn, all the beautiful autumn colors, mushrooms, and roaring deer can be admired. In a harsh winter, ice skating is possible on the Nuldernauw.

The center of Putten is full of atmospheric dining options and an extensive shopping offer. Putten is also very conveniently located. Not only is Putten easy to reach from the Randstad, but there are also many tourist attractions nearby, such as the Apenheul, Palace 't Loo, and Nulde Beach. Putten also offers tourist entertainment such as the forest tower, Landgoed Schovenhorst, Sauna Drôme, and the forest pool.

WiFi is available (and from October 1, 2023, super-fast fiber-optic internet).
Bed and bath linen are included.
No fires/BBQs are allowed due to the risk of fire.
Out of respect for nature, silence is required between 22:00 and 8:00.
Smoking is not allowed in the cottage.
