Veranda Room at Kingfisher Pond Guesthouse

A spacious, and private, self contained one bedroom suite on the main floor of a comfortable rural home on Quadra Island. Lovely bedroom with luxurious ensuite bath and sitting area. Roll-away cot available. Private entrance with parking just outside the door. Views from the bedroom to the 12 acre property's expansive gardens and down the hill to the pond. Feel free to roam the property's easy access trails, in addition to several well maintained community walking trails within an easy walk or drive. 4kms from the Quathiaski Cove ferry terminal and amenities, 1.5 kms from a public beach access, 3kms to the golf course and 7kms to beautiful Rebecca Spit. Shared laundry, barbeque and a full service sewer/water/30 amp electric RV hookup available as a fee added amenity to guests. Owner Laurie lives on site with a large, very friendly dog and looks forward to welcoming you. For a larger group please see our companion listing on this site.
This reservation has a Super Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 14 day prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travelers cancelling at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travelers cancelling from 7 to 13 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travelers cancelling less than 7 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.

A great first time experience
This was our first time using VRBO or anything like it and we had such a great first time experience. Laurie upgraded us to her larger suite which was a really nice gesture. The suite was clean and well appointed. The property? *chef’s kiss* Beautiful! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Peaceful Stay
I had a great, peaceful stay in this suite, which is located on a lovely piece of property that is fun to explore, with walking paths and beautiful gardens. I loved the porch outside the suite, which was a restful place to sit. Laurie and Kevin were warm and friendly hosts. They have taken great care with details in the suite and it has everything you would need. The property is not far from good walking trails and beaches.

Wonderful Stay!
This place is lively. Comfortably furnished, wonderful hosts, convenient location. No kitchen but the hosts make it work by providing all we needed to have our breakfast and lunch there. Highly recommend!

This is a self contained suite with full bathroom and basic coffee making and food warming equipment, with access to an outdoor kitchen. there are lots of good books available in the suite. lovely big bedroom and a rural property with walking trails. our hosts were freindly and helpful.

The Best Ever
Amazing well maintained 15+ acre property. We were welcomed by Laurie as we arrived. Our 1BR suite was so inviting, clean & well decorated with some lovely antiques. There is a lovely covered veranda where we enjoyed our breakfast every morning. Laurie was full of information of what to do & see while we were there. Her husband Kevin took us on a walking tour through their property talking about all the different trees, etc. He was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the area and the lumber business.

The hosts are wonderful and inviting. The suite is clean with a great view of the sprawling back yard and trees. A BBQ with propane on the patio with chairs and a table was a real treat. The pantry was fully stocked, even with ground coffee. I highly recommend staying here.

A comfortable suite on a beautiful acerage
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay with Laurie and Kevin on Quadra. The suite was comfortable and had ample space for a couple. The listing is accurate in that it does not have a complete kitchen, but we were able to make do with the microwave, fridge and full-sized BBQ. There is much to see and do on the island, and this was a great place to come back to after a full day exploring.

Cozy, clean and comfortable
It's a great place to stay on Quadra. As the title says, it is cozy, very clean and the bed was SO comfortable. There is a small fridge, coffee pot, kettle, toaster and microwave which let's you get a start in the morning and keep snacks on hand. Highly recommend it.
