I am sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations, and I’d like to address the points you raised. Firstly, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the air conditioning issue in one of the bedrooms. As soon as we were made aware, we arranged for a technician to visit and resolve the problem the following day. Our property is equipped with nine air conditioners, and while we work diligently to maintain them, occasional malfunctions can happen, especially during peak seasons. Regarding the kitchen, we strive to offer a fully equipped space for our guests, and we regret that some of the utensils and appliances didn’t meet your expectations. We are already in the process of replacing the kettle and upgrading the kitchen knives and mixer to ensure a better experience for future guests. The issue with the ceiling occurred shortly before your stay due to an unexpected water leak, which required us to make an urgent repair. While we understand that the temporary patch may not have been aesthetically pleasing, it was necessary to prevent further damage, and the area will be fully restored once the busy summer season concludes. As for the location of the master bedroom, yes, it is behind on garden level but in front, need steps, we have updated our property description to clarify that it is on the lower level when you enter the property by the street and accessible via a spiral staircase. We apologize if this was not clear enough in the initial listing and are grateful for your feedback on this point. In terms of paper towels and other supplies, we always aim to provide adequate amounts for our guests needs. We regret that you did not have enough if there was any misunderstanding in this regard. It’s important to mention that our property is large, with 21 rooms, including 8 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms and showers, and several other amenities. During high-occupancy periods, wear and tear can be more noticeable, but we continuously work on maintenance and improvements to keep the house in excellent condition. We do find it surprising, however, that you rated your stay 2 stars out of 5. This is the lowest rating we’ve received in over 8 years of hosting thousands of guests. While we acknowledge that there was a non-aesthetic issue with the 1-foot patch in the ceiling of the basement corridor, we feel that this, along with a few kitchen items, does not reflect the overall experience our villa offers. Our property is renowned for its beauty, extensive amenities, and attention to detail, which our many satisfied guests have appreciated over the years. On a personal note, I had the pleasure of decorating your wife’s birthday table as a courtesy to celebrate such a special occasion, dedicating several hours of my personal time to ensure everything was perfect. It’s disappointing to hear that your experience was not what you had hoped. Finally, I must note that while we do everything we can to ensure our guests have a wonderful stay, we kindly ask that guests take care of our property as well. Unfortunately, during your stay, some damage was caused to the landscaping and pool area, by your kids which required repairs and we did not mention it on your review of 5 stars. Kids are kids and we kindly decided not to mention it. We take all feedback seriously and are committed to improving. Over the years, we have hosted thousands of happy guests who have appreciated the charm and luxury of our property, and we are confident that with ongoing improvements, we will continue to provide an exceptional experience.
