Un bon hôtel au calme

Personnel très aimable et serviable, la chambre était spacieuse et lumineuse grâce à ses fenêtres sur 3 côtés car c'est le bout du bâtiment (chambre pour handicapé, salle de bain large et avec fenêtre). Le chauffage était efficace et on a apprécié le petit frigo et la bouteille de lait frais. Œuf cuit à la demande, et buffet simple mais qui a assez de choix. L'hôtel est près du centre et pas haut perché sur les hauteurs de la ville. Parking sous l'hôtel gratuit, mais places limitées (certaines pas très faciles d'accès aux voitures longues).

The kitchen was difficult to use. The visual on website did not match the room. You look out at parked cars.

We were relocated to this lodge by hotel.com after our booking to our original accommodation was dishonoured by the hotel. We were given a room on the ground floor. When we checked into the room in the morning, all the windows were opened and a fan was blowing at full speed. We had to go out so we closed the windiws and turned off the fan and locked the room when we left. When we returned to the room in the evening, the room had an overpowering smell like gas or disinfectant. We called the hotel contact person listed in the hotel directory who was reluctant to help us. We eventually got through to the manager who acknowledged the issue and explained they had done some renovation with new flooring and thought that the problem had been resolved. She acknowledged that we can't stay in the room if the smell is overwhelming and it would be a health and safety risk. She offered us alternative accommodation in another area of town to stay the night which we took.

We booked the one room apartment and was pleased with the size and cleanliness of the room. It was an unservuced apartment and we only found out when we occpied the room but we were ok with rhat bcos we Were only staying one night. We liked: The heated bathroom floor. Warm with heaters ans hear pump in main lounge Comfortable bed. Tv in the lounge and bedroom. We thought it would work better : If there were more than one mirror. The only mirror is in the bathroom and is only a half length one. We were on the second floor and there was only stairs to navigate up with our luggage.

The one-bedroom top floor apartment was spacious with kitchen to self-cater and a separate laundry with washer, dryer and separate toilet. Main bedroom with ensuite and two wardrobes. Two balconies with views towards the lake and west to the mountains. Good heating with hotwater radiators and heat pump in living room. Best location - minutes away from central Queenstown, steamer wharf, and central dining options. Off the main road so no noticeable road nosie. Appliances dated, apart from new refridgerator and heat pump, but functional. Was likely the apartment for the owner. Staff very helpful and courteous. We were very comfortable for our 6-day stay.

Everything we needed and a nice bed to sleep on. Parking on site and town center is a minute's walk away.

Satisfactory Accommodation

Accommodation was satisfactory, the lack of guest kitchen facility usage was a bit of a draw back as well as the room not being serviced daily. The kitchen not being open early enough for guest use early enough could be adjusted, prodominetly for guest who may need to work somewhere other than their room.
