Nice Getaway at the Elk House
Publié le 19 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our stay at the Elk House and would come back again. It’s a great house and such a peaceful area. We didn’t see any elk, sadly, but enjoyed spending mornings and evenings on the porch. The WiFi worked great, and we were able to stream on the TV. The house is in a great area - easy drives to Lake Quinault, hiking, and more! The “grocery stores” near by are small so if you’re coming from a larger area it may be worth bringing groceries with you. A few things to note for future guests - there is a keurig but no kcups were provided so bring your own; same goes for coffee pot/coffee. We couldn’t figure out the air conditioning and there were no instructions to be found; it wasn’t that warm so I didn’t feel the need to reach out to the hosts about it, but something to note if you’ll be going in peak summer time. We hope to visit the area again in the future and would love to stay at Elk House again!

Beyond Expectations

Lovely Home

It would have been nice to have tables or luggage racks in the loft, since we only stayed a few days, we didn't want to unpack, even though there is lots of closet space.
We would stay there again.

Beautiful peaceful stay
Publié le 25 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayPicturesque well maintained property in a quiet location with a lot to do around. We loved coming back and relaxing after hiking around the area- which has a lot of options which are all uncrowded and lovely. Was perfect for our family of 5. Internet service was plenty fast even for streaming. No cell signal on Verizon but you can drive 2 miles down the road if you need it.

Peaceful retreat
Publié le 22 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe really enjoyed the incredible views and comfortable space at the Elk House! Wish we would have gotten to see some elk but loved the yard nonetheless. Very quick access to the Quinalt area activities. Ample kitchen space and comfortable beds. The home needs smoke detectors installed and could use some blinds upstairs, but otherwise we have no complaints!
