A great little hotel. Abigail was a very friendly face to welcome us for our stay.

Reception staffs directions to the room was over there, through the door…. No clue to which floor and which way to turn when through the door.
Room looks like is was last redecorating in the early 70’s.
Thought I was staying on the road below with how much noise there was through the windows.
Paid £130 for the room which at very best is worth £70!!
Terrible, I would never stay there again and would advise everyone to give it a very wide berth.

Hello, I am sorry you felt the welcome was not adequate and that you were disturbed by noise from the street. When checking-out you made no mention to me of any issues, which I would have been happy to address directly. Our rooms are modern and have recently been renovated. With all new furnishings and equipment. There is also secondary glazing, so we try our best to keep noise out, although people are sensitive to noise in different ways. I am however comfortable with the standard of accommodation and service we offer, which I feel is reflected in other reviews. Understandably, pricing can be difficult for people, however our pricing is more than competitive amongst other similar establishments. Kind Regards, Paul Hogg, General Manager

Upgraded rooms since refurbishment much nicer …lovely room and good food .
Couldn’t work out how to open any windows and room did get a bit stuffy …
Would have preferred to be able to see out of windows .
Great hotel though and I will return x
