Avis North Hills Lake View Condo with Seasonal Community Pool

No hot water, no heat or a/c, dirty(food/dust ect), bed broken, chair broken and both were hidden and not disclosed. Had to ask for WiFi but got it too late to even bother with. WiFi box on floor in kitchen which could cause a tripping hazard. contacted host about issue and no action on her end. Contacted Vrbo and no response yet and it’s been over a week. Ended up leaving early and cutting trip short because of the issues and lack of attention to issues. Never got a refund either. But got cc bill and charged a $55.00 Vrbo fee on top of rental fee.

The apartment was nice and in a nice enough area, but there were 3 of us and an advertised pool and 2 total towels, then we didn’t have details on where the pool was or how to get logged into wifi, then we didn’t have the pool pass on site, then there were no sheets for the futon… all small stuff, but added up to be a less than ideal stay.

When I booked this property it was advertised as having a hot tub on the deck. When I got there … no hot tub. This wasn’t communicated to me. I had to request the entry information and it took a few attempts to the host to get the internet to work. It would have been more helpful to have a welcome letter with this information. The property needs some work. The sliding glass door to the deck was almost impossible to open, and so I never used the deck. The entry door didn’t close tight, although I was able to get it to lock. The living room furniture while it looks pretty was very uncomfortable to relax on. The kitchen was very limited in items provided. For example, no mixing bowl. The dishwasher was SO loud and didn’t work very good. The fridge light was out. The building property was very old. At first I felt it a little sketchy but grew more comfortable with my stay. On the positive side, it was quiet and the view over the lake was beautiful. The location to North Hills and Shelly Lake were great.
