Here you have lots of problems with water and your privacy
Publié le 22 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayFirstly,the cottage was extremely cold. It would have been better if the owner had checked the heating system prior to our arrival, as it took a significant amount of time for the cottage to warm up.
However, the biggest problem we encountered was with the water supply. When ten people are renting a place, it is important to consider their needs for bathing, using the toilets, and doing laundry and dishes. Unfortunately, the condition of the cottage was not suitable for accommodating these requirements. We faced a situation where after using the bathroom twice, there was no water available for approximately one hour. This lack of water availability made it extremely difficult for us to plan our daily bathing routines and caused significant inconvenience. To make matters worse, the information about the water situation was not clearly communicated to us beforehand. The mention of a septic tank in the introduction email was not sufficient to understand that the water supply would be cut off after two people used the bathroom. As a result, our children ended up trapped in the bath for an hour and a half, and we had to resort to using boiled water to wash them. This experience was nothing short of a disaster.
The noise from passing trains was quite annoying, especially during the night, as it disturbed our sleep.
Finally, she checks camera without our permission, it is unbelievable that she can checks you when you are in hottub with your partner.

I would like to address some of your concerns. Clarification is important to facilitate appropriate expectations in our home as well as others.
Our well water system produces 10 gallons per minute which is a great amount of water . We are located where nature meets waterfront , lake simcoe is our backyard and the house uses a septic drilled well system . We do advise guests about how our water system works . A house rule booklet and email is provided to you prior to check in with instructions and valuable information .
We apologize we were unaware prior to your check in the heating was not working . The night before you checked in the heating system was working . We have a fireplace that hearted the place quickly and fixed the heating as soon as we became aware . Thank you for addressing that issue so it can be resolved quickly .
We disclose all our cameras ,
Cameras placed in the front + side entrance & backyard area. Hot tub is blacked out for privacy. Kitchen tablet that controls the Nest is taped/muted. All cameras are in view | on 24/7 w/ motion detection. Recorded footage is deleted within 24hrs. We do not share it — only for liability purposes.
