What a fabulous place to stay; the most charming hosts in such a peaceful location. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, ADULTS ONLY, in the most beautiful position. We were three metres from the pool and 15 metres from the sea, with uninterrupted views, except for the coconut palms. I cannot recommend it enough, if you want to avoid the resort life and just relax this is the place.

Very peaceful, stunning location and hamocks to relax in.
Cafe, beach bar and 2 restaurants within walking distance.
Bungalow very clean and comfy bed. Loved the fresh fruit provided. Dennis and Patti great hosts.

We had a beautiful stay hear, Very peaceful Patti kept us fed with fresh fruit every morning. Mangers Cheryl & John are excellent hosts

Staff very friendly and helpful. A bowl of fresh fruit in our kitchen was wonderful when we arrived. A guest laundry would be a great asset for the complex as well as hair dryers in each cabin

Pleasant Stay
Publié le 8 juill. 2019 sur HotelsThe Sunhaven is small, cute resort with great views of the beach and ocean right from your deck. The beach has quite a bit of coral so it would be a good idea to wear water shoes. You can take a short walk down to find an area with less or no coral. The bungalows are spacious and have an 80's vibe to them...pink walls and wicker floral furniture. The resort and rooms are clean. They have a barbecue, hammocks and water shoes for use. The office is only open a few hours per day so I feel it's important to notify them of your flight information so arrangements can be made for check in. They can arrange airport transport for $25 per person (the airport is 6 km away) but we decided to hire a taxi ourselves and it only cost $10 per person. They have beach towels available however they require a $25 cash deposit on them.

Thank you for choosing to stay at Sunhaven Beach Bungalows and your very helpful review Constance. We are glad you enjoyed the lovely lagoon views from your bungalow. Thank you also for the feedback about the towel deposit and the cost of airport transfers. The towel deposit was being trialed due to the numbers of beach towels taken off the property to other beaches and being lost. Due to feedback, we have decided to discontinue charging the refundable deposit. For peace of mind, our transfer service offers a reliable meet and greet at the airport and our guests can be confident they will be met and driven straight to our resort without delay and taken directly to their room. Shuttles take longer as they stop at many other places on the way and taxis at the airport are subject to availability at the time and are not always available when you need them. Therefore our transfer option gives our guests a stress-free way of getting here. The $10 per person price you mentioned is an exceptionally low fare. Are you able to advise which company you used so that we can look into them as a possible option for our guests?

Clean light airy and private but close to the beach and pool.
No on grounds cafe means you have to have wheels to eat

Lovely bungalow in the beach
Publié le 11 sept. 2018 sur ExpediaReally beautiful bungalow on the beach with the perfect location to watch the sunset! Really close to Aroa beach and really quiet to wind down and enjoy the pool. Another thing... they are extremely clean! Would definetely consider coming back!!

Kia Orana Caro, Thank you for your very helpful review. How perfect is this? The other night our guests not only enjoyed the sunset you mention but there were whales breaching just over the reef as well. Certainly a sight to behold while sitting on their bungalow verandahs.
