value for money, not recommended for hot summer
Publié le 2 juill. 2024 sur HotelsBooked a 2 bedroom suite as we were travelling as a family of 4 . it turned out to be a 2 br apartment , spacious and well maintained. the only downside was that no toileteries were provided, something that we werent prepared for . Buffet dinner and breakfast was extensive but the menu and quality was just okay. As it was supposed to be a beach and pool holiday , we couldnt enjoy the pool as it is not covered, therefore of no use in hot summer sun. Its very nearby to Al Hamra Mall which is just about ok and just 20 mins drive to a bigger and better Manar mall, if you are looking at some shopping experience as well.
Overall it was a value for money experience but could have been better

General communal areas spotless.
Outside areas lovely. Helpful, kind staff.
Management needs some training:
Room was disappointing. We were told we had a “golf” view as we had booked room only. The view was of scrub land between the golf club and hotel.
This was not made clear on the Expedia site.
We asked for a sea view and told no, despite also being told the hotel had very low occupancy (due I expect to Ramadam)
Your site clearly states: kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and also a mini bar. It took three requests to finally get two plates and bowls. No tea towel or sponge - why have a kitchen available?
Also there was only one bedside lamp (with frayed wire)
We asked for another lamp but never received it. (At this point we gave up asking)
Also the shower and bathroom area was not very clean - it needed completely cleaning and scrubbing to bring up to standard. A cleaner came at our request to clean around the shower door.
We asked for extra towels (for hair) - first of all none, then 4 after repeated requests. Then they took them all away again!
Expedia itself is at fault with regards to the amenities available as you are advertising facilities that are not there.
It is doubtful if we would return, despite it being a very convenient hotel as our son lives a few minutes away in the Al Hamra district which was our main reason for booking it.

The hotel has a great beach and two outdoor pools.
The bedroom in my suite had no windows, TV, or power outlet near the bed.
The check-in process was on the chaotic side.
The breakfast was so-so.
