Quaint cabin
Publié le 21 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayNice little get away from people, the shower only had warm water for 2 minutes and the hose was broken so we had to hold it the whole time. There were also bugs crawling up the shower drain. Bathroom situation was gross otherwise the rest of the stay was nice

Yes our shower is a 5Gallon water heater, not meant for long showers it’s more like glamping than camping. The suction holder for the shower wand has been replaced. Bugs crawling up the drain is new to me. I’ve never seen that. For not having a well & septic. Rural Cabin in the woods I think is doing the best they can. Thanks for staying

Cute cabin deep in the woods
Publié le 4 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayCabin was very cute and quaint in the woods and a nice place to get away from it all. Please ensure to have the right expectations for the amenities. There is only a sink outside the house (not inside) to wash your hands etc. There is a compost toilet which we never used before, our urine was not 3/4 full so we did not empty it--also it was a bit confusing how to empty the toilet (and where to put the urine?). Despite that had a relaxing stay.

Family escape
Publié le 28 août 2024 sur HomeAwayGrandparents, daughter and 2 kids 10/13. City kids loved the cabin remoteness and absolute quiet. Crickets were a new experience. Sadly no fireflies. Fresh air and local family gathering had all in bed by 9:30 pm.

Better than expected

Great small place!

Cabin getaway rental

I’m sorry to hear that. The weekend you stayed we had an unbelievable amount of rain, flood warnings, high rivers, water washing out driveways. It’s ruined a lot in the Midwest.
We never received a text from you during your stay. I’m sorry that you feel we didn’t communicate well. I also sent you a text asking how the driveway was after the evening of flooding. I think communication got lost somehow.
