The staff are friendly and efficient. The room was clean and simplistic but dated (especially the mattress), it does look as though they are slowly updating things one thing at a time. The A/C worked well. Limited T.V entertainment (2 channels),no access to platforms such as Netflix etc.

Hotel péssimo. Estrutura física velha e mal cuidada. Cama extremamente desconfortável, roupa de cama e banho sujas. Nos corredos dos quartos tem naftalina espalhada por todos os cantos, o cheiro é horrivel. O chuveiro do quarto nao esquentava. Solicitei que fosse feita a troca da roupa de cama e fui tratada por um dos funcionários com deboche. Ao lado do hotel existe um prédio abandonado com vários focos de água parada (risco de dengue), além da região do mesmo ser cheia de moradores de rua e usuarios de droga nas imediações. Foi uma péssima experiência, não consegui ficar até o final da hospedagem, desistindo da mesma e buscando outro hotel. As fotos não coincidem com a realidade. Não recomendo.

Check-in was rough. The Receptionist was very sloppy. It took three goes back and forth to the front desk until he finally allocated the correct room type. It’s not what you need after travelling almost 24 hours. The hotel itself isn’t very clean. The bathroom smelled quite badly of urine. We deep-cleaned it ourselves using shower gel and the hose. There was no hot water on day 1 and 2. This hotel has definitely seen better days. Breakfast was decent and the staff there were friendly. The location is very good and the sights on the two islands are within walking distance. It’s cheap but you get what you pay for.

Cozy, cool, and comfortably clean.
Very nice quant place. Good location for shopping and historic places. Easy To find at night while returning from the town, it lights up with a big Y On the front of the hotel. Nice river views.

Horrible place. You are better off sleeping on the floor at the airport. Hotels.com should refund my money for even letting us book here. Filthy and gross in a very sketchy neighborhood.

Basic hotel in a marginal neighborhood.
We stayed two nights at the Recife Plaza hotel during our visit for the World Cup. The hotel is very basic and pretty run down, but the staff is helpful, the breakfast was fine and the room was reasonably clean. The hotel is walking distance from the old city and the neighborhood is ok during the day, but very sketchy after 6 or 7 pm. While the hotel was not cheap during the World Cup, I expect that normally it would be an inexpensive, basic hotel

Grim hotel in grim part of town
I was attending a conference in Recife and this hotel was the only one left with availability. I would say that it is overpriced and disappointing. The staff were nice enough but the hotel definitely needs a renovation. Most hotels in Recife are bad though so if you can, do spend a little more and stay on Boa Viagem or in Olinda (which is much prettier and close to the Convention Center)

Great location for transportation/sightseeing
I chose the hotel because of its central location and how close it was to Recife Main Metro station. The hotel staff very helpful, although they did not speak much English, we managed to communicate. The hotel is quite run down, my main door had a big gap between it and its housing, so you could actually see through, but I'm not too shy! I enjoyed my stay and the hotel's location was what I was mainly wanting - so it delivered for me.

Uma experiência não muito agradáveis. O hotel diz que dispõe de academia, mas a mesma não funciona , tem apenas 4 aparelhos e 3 deles não funcionam. O café da manhã só é servido 06h30. Eu precisava sair mais cedo pra trabalhar e não pude aproveitar o café, a administração tambem não está disposta a flexibilizar horários. A piscina e área de lazer, sala de jogos antigos, velhos e desertos Luzes piscando Tinta descascando Limpeza deixa a desejar Funcionários rudes (não todos) Não tem serviço de quarto. Não volto mais

Experiência péssima.
Primeiro, tivemos que esperar até às 14:30 para fazer check in devido falta de funcionários para realizar a limpeza. O chuveiro elétrico não estava funcionado. O cartão de acesso a porta ficava descarregando a cada saída, necessitando ir a recepção toda vez que voltava ao quarto para carregar o cartão. Tv do quarto antiga, não tendo acesso a internet. Uma única tomada dentro do quarto dificultando carregamento de celular.
