Comfortable Home Near Town

Yes it is next to a highway, but back far enough and large bushes block out all road sounds. House has room A/C units but there is an effective evap (swamp) cooler which works well. Lots of parking. Owner is very helpful. So what are you waiting for?

Perfect For Family
Publié le 19 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were completely charmed by this unique home. It was more than enough room for the 6 of us. The pool was beautiful and clean. The beds were comfortable and we were supplied with everything we needed for our stay. The host communicated quickly and was very kind, she even offered any early check in, although we did not need it. We would love to stay again if we ever get back up to Redding.

Not For Aged
Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayIf I had to do it over again, I wouldn't. The property itself was charming enough. But our ages, disabilities, the summer weather (HOT HOT!!) and the dated amenities did not make for a happy stay.
On a very positive note, Ginger (manager) was very accomodating and responsive to all our requests and questions. The grounds are expansive and the various out buildings felt as if we were in a quaint and lovely western-era ranch. The star amenity is the pool and covered BBQ area. Sparkling clean and cool water during one of the hottest summers on record-such relief!
Contrasted is the older and very soft (bottomless) couch in the living room was very uncomfortable for bad backs. Hard to rise from it too. The air conditioning in the living room just made the primary indoor environment worse, The portable unit was very noisy and blew warm. The swamp cooler was almost non-existent. Well over 80 degrees even at night was plain uncomfortable for our family.. The kitchen was very good. Well appointed. The master bedroom was our refuge because it was relatively cooler (72). However, the bed was too tall for my wife, but Ginger promptly brought a step stool that worked great. The bed frame was a knee-knocker as it stuck out sharply on the corners and we each had a few leg bruises. We learn to place extra pillows at each corner to soften the bumps. Another thing that family members had to learn was using toilets that hooked to septic system (Ginger to the rescue again). Neutral rating.

I knew that this was going to be a difficult fit from the beginning. Sometimes city just doesn’t mesh with rustic country. If there was some communication regarding your needs I could have given you a good explanation of the home and property and then you could have decided beforehand that our home wasn’t conducive for your needs. I learn from each experience and hopefully improve where I can. Some things I can’t fix like having a septic system and the extreme heat.
I do hope your wife enjoyed her family reunion.

Great location for some quiet R&R

Location is quiet and private yet stores were within a 10 minute drive. The pool was great for all of us since the weather was hot. Overall we had a great time and if we get the chance we will definitely book again.

Most comfortable beds!
Publié le 15 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe kids were so excited to jump into the pool after a 6 hour drive! The property was clean, cool and convenient! The house was clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed. Very comfortable and comforting like grandma's house. The beds were the best beds I have ever slept in. The master suite had so much space and was a retreat away from the other bedrooms. You could all be separate and not hear anyone from the living room and kitchen! The airconditioning was not central air, but was great! You could direct the unit towards you and feel the cool air. The house was prepared for us, cool and inviting. The entire family enjoyed the pool, patio and beds.

Redding visit

The home was very comfortable with everything we needed. We spent most of our time on the patio and by the pool. The back looks out to open area which is very nice.

Excellent Ranch home
Publié le 18 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayMeticulously clean, cowboy themed ranch home on acreage. Three of us (with our 2 dogs) rented this for the weekend. Plenty of room for all of us, & updated, spacious kitchen perfect for cooking at home. The host always picked up immediately if called. Sitting by the pool at sunset was divine!
