Sadly disappointed

Outdated and dusty room. The bathroom was large but the finishing was poor. The taps in the shower was broken and the only water was scouring hot and unusable.

Excellent value for money
Publié le 24 juin 2024 sur HotelsExcellent place to stay, helpful staff, comfortable room and a free continental breakfast, unfortunately the restaurant was no longer open Which was a bit of a shame hopefully it gets back up and running, the park directly opposite was brilliant was nice for a stroll along the water and a evening run along the canal, hotel was great value for money and Retford town was quite pleasant, would stay again.

I scored low on condition as we had problems in the bathroom. Shower broke in my partners hand and bath shower leaked all over floor. We did manage to get a wash of sorts but bathroom floor was like a swimming pool. The actual bedroom was lovely.
The staff were lovely - friendly and helpful. In fact, we found the people of Retford very friendly and helpful. A trip to the town is worth it just for them.
The exterior of building needs a bit of attention and the front door steps are hazardous. Having said that, it is a building with potential.
Continental breakfast was included and, although not exciting, was satisfactory. The coffee was good!
