Confort et bonne localisation

cet appartement est très agréable, et les propriétaires répondent rapidement à nos
demandes. Propre, confortable, cuisine raisonnablement bien équipée: tout ce qu'il
faut pour un agréable séjour entre les visites de la ville et les excursions ailleurs en Islande.

Pour : Very fine details. Best kitchen I have ever had. Excellent for those who want to cook during the stay.
Contre : Leave manuals of kitchen equipments in the room.
Emplacement : Near old port. Nice shopping and walk in old residential area. Public swimming poor with steam bath and outside bath are nice experience.
We travel a lot and still we have never been in such a comfortable apartment hotel. The room is spacious with nice furnitures and fully equipped kitchen. Each detail is well studied and taken care of. In fact, it is so comfortable that you don't feel like going out. That was the trouble of this apartment. The utility room is spacious also, and there is a washing mashing.
It is situated at a short walking distance to the most touristic streets full of nice shops and restaurants. However, the hotel does not have a nice view, since it is facing a relatively big street. We were not annoyed by the noise. The building seems to be well insulated.
In all, an excellent address that we recommend strongly.

This is our second visit to Iceland and we specifically requested the same apartment we stayed in 3 years ago. We were very happy that they accommodated our request, however upon checking in I noticed there were dried up food smeared on the kitchen wall and a very greasy frying pan inside the kitchen drawer. There was also an odor in the 2nd bedroom.
We notified the apartment about the odor and asked that they change the sheets, mattress pad and comforter which they immediately did, however, the changes did not eliminate the odor.
Housekeeping acknowledged that there was an odor and they moved us to a different apartment.
Opal was very accommodating and despite the uncomfortable 2 nights, we enjoyed the balance of our stay in the new apartment.

Fantastic apartment
