Poor facilities poorly managed

Emplacement : Richards Bay has some lovely beaches and good pubs and dining in the marina area. Travellers should really choose a good hotel in this area.
We pre-paid for 13 nights including full breakfast
we stayed the first three nights while we recovered from the journey and spent some time in Richards bay.
The hotel internet listing quoted the following facilities
Bar- We had to go ask for the bar to be opened, then found it had only one bottle of beer in stock
Restaurant - No Menu (just what the cook decides) and an evening meal must be pre-booked in afternoon.
Satellite tv - only 3 working channels (no news channels)
The place was depressing so when we travelled to St.Lucia to go on a pre-planned safari and 2 day stay.
We finished up staying there and paid for an additional 7 days accommodation in town.
We returned to Anglers rod for one night prior to trip home (nearer to a/port)
When we opened our room, the bed had been slept in by someone else while we were away.
Thankfully none of our stuff was stolen and of course We insisted on bedding change and room cleaned out.
Staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, but the place is really poorly managed and I think one star rating!

The linen is old and stained, the gym area is stuffy and does not have air conditioner

Quick stop in Richards Bay
