We were told several times by several different staff members there was a complimentary breakfast. When we went down to eat, they wanted $14 for a cold basic and $24 for a hot meal. Wth? Complimentary means FREE. You need to change your words to continental breakfast NOT complimentary. This is so bait and switch and very much false advertisement. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, OUR DEPOSIT WAS NEVER RETURNED.

I really liked this hotel. The entire staff was very courteous and helpful the entire time. I had some interaction with Asia and Rebecca. They were so nice and very customer service oriented. The room was clean. I may be staying here again in the future. I did not get the explore all of the attractions I wanted to see.

HGI Colonial Heights

All aspects of human interaction were of superior quality. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Ann (Housekeeping) helped me get into my room as my keys didn’t work, Heather and Rose (Food and Beverage) were very accommodating and pleasant to chat with. The food was prepared very well and was good eating. It is painfully obvious to me this facility is need of upgrading. As I mentioned my keys didn’t work the lock so I had them changed out twice, even then I had trouble opening my door. Additionally, I tried to enter the laundry room and my wouldn’t open this door either. The front desk attendant helped, his key had trouble opening the door as well. My coffee maker was non operational, the power light was on but it wouldn’t brew. These issues should be unacceptable to you. I’ve stayed at HGI on many occasions and have really enjoyed the overall experience. Thank you for listening, please take care of these details, thank you.
