Lovely old property nicely decorated, large rooms, bed a bit soft, excellent food and lovely helpful staff.
Will visit again

We were not told that there was a code to exit the car park or which parking spots we couldn't use - we had parked in a reserved area without realising.
Other than that all fine. Thanks.

Good Afternoon Alan,Thank you for your review which we appreciate.Apologies if you were confused with the parking, our parking is on first come first serve basis, our bays are clearly marked 1-12, guests usually advise which bay they have parked in on checking in, other bays which do not belong to the hotel do have private parking signs above them and names ie The Mews.Should you stay with us again, please give us a call before hand to discuss any questions you may have,Kind Regards

Won’t be rebooking anytime soon.
Publié le 15 août 2024 sur HotelsDon’t be fooled by the photos of the rooms. Our room was far from the images given. When it was room time, we could only see half of the telly because the curtains covered the other half. Couldn’t move the telly or curtains.
The food was passable in the main with several items never available from the menu.
I had fish and chips one evening from the menu but should have been supplied with a 4lb club hammer to break thru the batter..I have NEVER had batter so hard! I jest not. The accompanying onions rings were of the same ilk. I mentioned it to the staff and “the chef(?)” will be spoken to.
Breakfast, however was very good.
Minor point but important…I went use the salt cellar, it was empty. Took another from another table, empty. Took a third, empty. Very sad/disappointing.
The weather was great, trips out great.

2 night mini break.

Super relaxing hotel and surrounding area
