Beautiful hotel but, unfortunately, when we went for an evening drink in the bar the barman seemed to be on his own & rushed off his feet. We decided to walk along the road to the Red Lion pub & had a warm welcome from the many staff.

Lovely stay with family and friends

Fantastic hotel with a wonderful pub attached
Publié le 28 juill. 2024 sur HotelsSuch a great little hotel. Had booked one night mainly to have somewhere to stay before heading to Warner Bros Studios the next day. Had booked something that looked a little nicer than the cheaper hotels. But still looking for something good value as the hotel wasn't the main point of interest. However, when we arrived we were so happily surprised. It's located in a gorgeous little village outside Watford. The building is so lovely with beautiful gardens and outdoor seating. The room has wonderful character and interior design. Spacious and so cozy with very comfortable beds. We were absolutely gobsmacked and I keep thinking about when I could potentially go there again, we had such a lovely time. Staff was wonderful and so friendly. We also had dinner and breakfast, and I believe the burger I had was one of the best I've had in a long time. The breakfast was also very delicious and well worth it. The bathroom was also really lovely and spacious. Bonus points for there being actual conditioner in the shower and not just shampoo and shower gel. Id recommend this to anyone, and I'm looking forward to having a chance to stay here again.
