The best family get away

We got our extended family together over the Thanksgiving holiday! It felt like we were on our own little island and we could completely unplug. We had everything we needed to make great memories together and more. It was so easy to get ahold of the company and any concerns were fixed right away. It was easy to get to the property from PDX and Salem, but it was tucked away, beautiful and private. Truly the best VRBO experience we’ve had as a family!!

Willamette Valley Getaway

House was decorated beautifully, on a peaceful property and well appointed for rest and relaxation and for entertaining and gaming. The hosts were very attentive before, during and after our stay. Loved that we did not see another house from this home on the hill. Highly recommend this property for a Willamette Valley wine adventure.

Not as advertised and no compliance

The primary reason we booked this home for my birthday was for the pool. It took me calling the company that manages the house, itrip with concerns about the color and look of the pool for them to admit knew there was an issue with the pool 5 days prior to our reservation. They told me that they had a pool tech out the morning before our reservation began and knew the pool was not usable and needed to be closed for the season. They had already decided somehow that they were going to replace it with. Chlorine pool, yet didn’t have the decency to call me to let me know about these concerns and breach of agreement. I booked this house under the agreement that there was a working pool. I would expect they let me know as soon as an aspect of our contract had changed. I believe they did not due to worry I would cancel and they would lose money. Money over customer satisfaction! They offered a measly 5% refund when 95% of the reason we rented this house was for the pool. Then, after the ridiculous mismanagement and lack of communication, 3 people entered the property at 7:00 pm on a Saturday. Absolutely not ok and we did not know who they were and questioned our safety. After I reached out to itrips with my concern for the strangers on the property we rented, were we informed it was the owners son and friends! Absurd! Breach of contract again! Was that them having a rave the night before too??? Do not stay at this scam of a house!

While we strive to ensure each guest's experience is of the highest quality, there are some factors outside of our control, such as unforeseen events that happened to the pool which has led to the pool being unavailable during your stay. Thus, we were happy to have reimbursed you for the inconvenience. Regarding the unannounced visit as well to the property, sorry that you had to experience this. In need of repairs

At check-in, we were informed that the hot tub was not working. On arrival, the AC was not on and it was hot. The upstairs never recovered. Also, the garage had a large number of biting flies inside. Someone came the next day and bombed the garage; others came a few hours later to clean up the dead flies. Cleaner was there until 7pm on check in day and left some tasks incomplete (garbage in kitchen, sticky floor in kitchen, stained sheets in one bed). Something outside of the guest house turned on at random intervals through the night, waking the occupants. The water turned off for no apparent reason on occasion. The house was in need of many repairs. Many of the windows in the house were foggy, the doors to the back yard were sticky and one didn’t close properly. The dishwasher seemed improperly installed and in almost every wash, several dishes came out dirty. The pool had many dead bugs in it, but there was a skimmer so we were able to clear it out. The house has a number of electronic features, including power window shades and a computer screen with information on the house and the area. However, neither the home screen nor the binder on the house included instructions that were needed (window shades, thermostat, appliances). We figured out most of the shades, but two never responded to the control. We did receive responses to our text inquiries during the week. but overall, we were very disappointed in this stay.

Family Trip

The house is in a fantastic location that is very private and great for large groups. Plenty of space for everyone and the separate unit worked out well. The patio was great to hangout on and enjoy the evenings. The just was always quick to respond and took care of things needed. The only downside was the pool was not as clean as should be. We found multiple items (plastic case for a toy and a cup, on the bottom. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn’t working but we were notified before we checked in Overall a great location and place.

Not as advertised

We were very disappointed in the level of disrepair of many of the household features that prompted us to rent this site. The BBQ did not work, even after replacing the tank, the pool is murky due to being treated with hydrogen peroxide which was not disclosed and it had hundreds of dead bugs floating (no skimmer provided), the hot tub was inoperative and does not get hot, the sliding door and swing door that accesses the back yard are extremely difficult to open and close. The water pump breaker continues to trip which disrupts water service to the house. They need better instruction on how to change the temperature on the thermostat so we don't have AC while it rains. Sadly, when we called about these issues to iTrip, the management group, we were told they would look into it and get back to us. We never got a return call or a service person any of the 4 times we called. We spent considerable amount of time and expense to arrange this family reunion, with some members coming from the East coast only to learn many of the amenities that were advertised were NOT available. We would like to discuss these issues with an appropriate representative.

Our family reunion

We were all impressed with how clean all the rooms were and really happy that the beds and bathrooms were so comfortable. There were so many things to do, although with the family reunion events, we barely had time to enjoy all of the amenities. Highly recommended for a large gathering, especially with plenty of kids.

This was a beautiful, comfortable and spacious house and property. The views are gorgeous and there was lots for everyone to do. It was also very well-supplied. The management team was very responsive and friendly. It was the perfect place for our extended family (3 generations) to stay together. I highly recommend!
