Gorgeous, spacious, custom home with beautiful views and large fenced yard

Beautiful home with open floor plan, deluxe master bedroom, and luxurious master bath. Located between Ouray and Ridgway (less than 5 miles to either town), the perfect location for all of your vacation desires; the best for hiking, climbing, biking, jeeping, skiing... really, any outdoor activity. From the back patio, Mount Abram is down the valley, a lovely, constant sight; Corbett Peak is the first thing you see looking out from the kitchen nook, every day the view is different. Travelers have access to the entire 2,500 square feet of the home's main level (4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms).
The upstairs is typically locked but if you want to book the 5th bedroom, please message me. It has a queen bed and a full bathroom. An additional fee of $150 will apply. With this bedroom, the house can sleep 10 people comfortably. Dogs are not allowed upstairs.
Note: No one else will be able to rent the upstairs while you are staying at the house, it is just an add-on to the downstairs rental.

The kitchen has a double oven along with other essential appliances.
The coffee maker is a regular drip-maker with basket filters (included)
The dining room has a table that seats six, another table is located in the kitchen nook that comfortably seats 4 adults on bench seats.

The backyard is fully fenced to allow your dogs a bit of roaming space (please check near the gates as there are gaps that small pups may be able to escape)

Up to 2 dogs are allowed. If you are hoping to bring more than two, please get in touch with me for prior approval. An additional fee will apply.
Please do not allow dogs on the furniture, specifically the leather couches and the beds. We request that the dogs be brushed before entering the house. There will be an additional cleaning fee for excessive hair. provided is one crate and a blanket for the dogs.
Be sure to indicate whether you are bringing your dogs when booking.

Family time in Ridgway and Ouray
This is a great property for families with dogs. Loved the layout, the fenced yard, the privacy between the master suite side and the queen bed bedrooms side. Tara is a very responsive host. Beautiful property. I would definitely stay again.

We loved this place for its comfortable living room and beautiful views, and recommend it for that. However we were very disappointed that the listing was for a 4-BR house. We booked and paid for what was callled a 5 BR house but we were only given a 4 BR house. After one night’s stay we were told we could unlock a 5th bedroom for an extra charge. The manager admitted the listing was misleading but was not bothered that we’d paid, in good faith, for something we didn’t get. Not at all impressed with the property manager.

My stay in Ridgway
I would rate my stay a 6 on a scale of 1-10. The home, location and view were great. The bed in the master wasn't comfortable. We sunk in and didn't sleep well. The sheets and pillows need to be replaced. We had only one set of down pillows and the decorative throws. The extra set of pillows smelled. We were excited to have the yard but ended up cleaning up from prior dogs and filled five bags of poop from the prior guests.

Beautiful Home in a Beautiful Location
The home was perfect. The home was comfortable, more lovely in person than in the pictures, beautiful scenery, ample room to move around, sufficient cookware, comfortable furniture and let's not forget a large fenced backyard for our 60 pound coonhound to roam (our escape artist did not find a way out of the yard which was excellent). The host was lovely and she was very prompt and professional with communications. Check in process was a breeze. House rules are reasonable and what any renter should do out of common courtesy. We're planning another trip over that way and when we decide the date, we plan to rent this home again if available during our dates.

Great Ridgeway Stay
We took a hiking trip and stayed in Tara's amazing home. The house was larger than expected and the location was great, about halfway between Ridgeway and Ouray. The views of the San Juan mountains out of the back window made for an excellent breakfast each day. The host is top notch and kind.

Amazing Family Get Away.
I brought my adult children and my wife up for the President's weekend. The house accommodated the six of us perfectly. The communication with the owner was prompt and easy. The house had an amazing view and wild turkeys in the backyard. Overall a great experience. I would recommend.

We had a great stay. The house is clean, comfortable and very spacious. Beds are very comfy. It is very dog friendly which we loved. The back yard is perfect for the dogs to run around. We hope to be back!

We stayed here for a quick weekend trip with our dogs. The house was larger than we thought it would be and was decorated nicely. The yard was completely fenced for our dogs and they loved watching a flock of turkeys on the adjacent property. The house was well appointed with what we needed and easy to check-in and out. We would stay here again.

Beautiful home, great location!
My husband and I came to Colorado for vacation. We enjoy hiking and being in the mountains! Tara’s home is beautiful and has a pretty view of the mountains you can enjoy on the back porch. Halfway between Ouray and Ridgeway, we were easily able to get to our hiking/grocery/shopping destinations everyday. The home is big and beautifully decorated, stocked kitchen so we could cook like we were at home. Every evening there was a small group (4-6) of mule deer that come through the yard, so neat to see!! There’s also a couple rabbits, a flock of turkeys(?), and lots of birds that hang around. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Quiet neighborhood perfectly between Ouray and Ridgway
This house was everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Tons of space and a great backyard. Very quiet but close to main road between Ridgway and Ouray. We enjoyed the back deck and grill and playing board games with the family.

The house was so very cute and comfortable! The bathroom was stocked with all necessities, we were so blessed to have been able to stay in this beautiful home. My daughter especially loved the piano. She was following along in the books to teach herself how to play!
